Nice to see you playing well! Wishing it wasn't at my expense this time.

That jerk gave me a couple of solid seasons then dropped like a rock.

          I miss him.

That 1983 Pale Ale season was so special.

          22-1 record.

          1.50 ERA.

219 strikeouts, only 29 walks, 4 home runs allowed in 204 innings.

That 1983 Freedom team makes me feel sad looking back.

We had Aurillo at his absolute best.

Desi Rochs had a career year, hitting .301 and OPSing .932, contributing 36 home runs, 94 RBI, 116 runs scored. I believe he is the only shortstop to win Stout Slugger.

Greg Josey was one of the best rookies that year. We had Doorbell, though he missed 40 games and was a year or two from hitting his prime.

We had the forgotten great Anibal Alsina, who hit .293 with 75 extra-base hits and produced outstanding defense in right field.

But that year was the last with two divisions and no Wild Cards, so we finished far behind Pat's 109-win Bats club, and that was that. No October baseball in Philadelphia.
