The trade early last season for SP Jarrod Nygaard & CF Sonny Mason in one swing probably goes down as one of the most important deals with Pawtucket 3.0. Very rare giving up a top #20 prospect and a number 6 pick in the draft is beneficial both short or long term to a team.

Well done Nygaard. Mason got fucked, but he has been slumping as of late. Oh well, still plenty time for him to make an allstar team once or twice before his career ends.
Meanwhile Tommy Van Leer still sits on the DL...

Also, did you trade your 6th pick?

        Yes. Just did.

So I guess Henne and the 2 prospects should be considered in the balance of that trade.

I told our players they should boycott the All-Star game this year, glad to see I still have influence over them.

My first round pick Manny Reyna wants to be in AA and my scout agrees. To AA he goes.

Pat St. Thomas has a .922 OPS with 14 HRs and 11 SB in just 42 games started. He's also 3rd in the DL in zone rating for RF.

In 128 games started for Morgantown last year he had a .641 OPS with 26 HRs and 10 SBs.

I'm happy to see he's finally breaking out.
His ratings were just too good for that pathetic BA he was carrying around.

Will players actually send emails requesting to be sent down?
I don't know if I've seen one of those yet.

                    No email.

I'm just speaking for him because of his performance. My scout does think he should be promoted and I think he's right.

Make sure you fix your bullpen, Sully.

Jimenez made the All-Star team and that always screws with the bullpen. He's no longer slotted as the closer.

Clarke and Bell make the AS team with Brummett. I'm surprised by how well they've played. Both have sub 3.00 ERAs. I think we are going to have to move a SP (likely English) in the offseason to make room for Honea/Bourne with those 2 and Pulido throwing so well.

Danny Salcedo makes another AS game and is playing well enough to pick up his TO and maybe have him retire in Vegas.
