2011 Regular Season SIM 8 Complete - Next SIM Sat 04/18
I've felt that in the past decade the Ale has been the most competitive. There always seems to be 3 legit teams with a 4th not too far behind.
The Pilsner is always a two team race while two others are rebuilding heavily. That history has never changed.
The Lager and Bock dominated by one team.
The Porter a hodge podge of teams flipping around.
And the Stout just two teams with no competition.
I also feel like OOTP 15 doesn't favor domination as much. A lot of teams are really in it. I'm sure the extra wild card and better owners across the board helps some too.
Lol, reviewing the wreckage from Dallas (WE FUCKEN LOST TO TRAVIS NEAL...REALLY?) Just happened to glance at the standings and noticed LA is 8 games in first already in May?
The Dino's have to be the quietest dynasty we've ever had in the BLB.
Everyone bashes the Stout as being top heavy, LAD is reaping the benefits of a mediocre division as well.

Awful news for Delandis. I hate to see that sort of thing especially when I'm watching the guy turn it around.
Dallas keeps winning and there doesn't seem to be much I can do! I'm just trying to stay within striking distance.
6-1 and we gain only a half game because we played one extra game and won it. That's the reason! Jeez. Won 2 of 3 against Hartford and swept Pittsburgh all four games (that's surprising to me).
This game still angers me with how it treats bullpens. I want Amaral to face lefties only. Only. Of course, he gets McInturf out and then stays in the game to face righties and eventually one hits a home run to tie the game. Oh and that was in the 9th. And guess who comes into the game with it tied? My closer. Good job OOTP. Just all makes so much sense. Somehow we still won despite this mismanagement.
I felt Brenizer could handle the starting job (he did so much in LA) and I like his performance. Plus he can play defense at catcher. D'Orio is in there to face lefties and he did a great job while playing solid defense. Just need Cash to fix that outfield.
Despite popular opinion, I don't mind surrendering bats for defense. Dorval can't hit a lick but I love his defense at 3B. I rather keep him there than get a big bopper. I have enough of those.
Bullpen looking great. Steffen doing his best Jeckyll and Hyde but I'll take it. Just need Robertson to get back on track.
4-3 week, meh. We'll take it just because they were all road games, but we let a couple of games slip away due to leaky bullpen performances. We'll give it a few SIMs to settle down after adding the new piece. Goto and Griffiths should be back this upcoming week. Looking forward to having our regular lineup back together. A 17-10 May is nothing to sneeze at, so right now we're happy with our current position.
1-2 vs. Batavia: Won Game One 3-1, then lost 2-3 (14th) and 2-3
2-1 vs. Philly: Lost Game One 2-7, then won 12-7 and 5-4 (12th)
An impressive showing for DC as Philadelphia and Batavia are #1 and #2 teams currently in the IL. This team continues the .500 month (13-13) a far cry from the first month (8-17). Hopefully a sign of things to come.
In a fools gold start, SP Dave "Wonder Boy" Ferneyhough pitched a one-hitter in seven scoreless innings against Batavia. He did however walk seven and the game was then lost by the bullpen. Maybe there is something to the nick name?
