Wow, Perales and Martinez go down with long term injuries. I believe we will be officially in free fall mode now. I mean, we kinda were before but know we kicked it into a different gear.

Jeez, Tameike is just a mess. Hoped that maybe he needed to come back but now it really seems he's done. Oh well.

2-4 sim. Way too many of these up and down weeks. 3.5 back of Dallas now.

We didn't hit. We didn't pitch. Just ugly all-around. Somehow we got a good start out of Angelo Sanchez, though.

4-2 even with some lackluster performances from 3/5th of our rotation. Anthony looks like a prototypical leadoff hitter, Dowling is looking solid, and Nara has evolved in the cleanup spot. Richardson is looking more and more like a starter at C. Cash and Cole come back this week.

3-3, as expected vs DVS and IND.

If we could add a starter, I'd feel like a real part of the WC race.

Yeah, the Ale is suddenly ordinary?

Pawtucket 2-4. Not proud of our 3-6 road trip. Somehow I expected to lose the Windy City series due to irony, but for the life of me we can't figure out Toronto. Thank god they never make the playoffs.

Getting some inconsistent starting pitching , bad back end relief pitching oh and now a power shortage from our offense. 3B Travis Zuk is back and maybe we figure things out during our home stand? Little puzzled right now. Do we need another bat? Who the fuck is our long reliever this season? Do we bring SP Mcdade up for the back end of the rotation? Why are Matts sims sucking so bad? Version change? Playoff hangover?(-2 magic user rating)I don't want to make a knee jerk decision, maybe we just ride it out.

Bottom line: we're happy to be in first even though we aren't playing well.

4-2 for the Brawlers this week. I'll take this every week if we could get it. Didn't seem like anyone was a hero this week as everyone in the day to day lineup seemed to have their ups and downs.

Exactly what we hoped for, 1-5 week including a sweep at home by the Dukes.

Henne is heating up, as is a Bafford but somehow we lost a game 2-1 at home. Maybe we'll make a major blockbuster trade to fix the issue, but regardless, this low point will definitely be in the Brewmasters Cup champions Blu-Ray as a turning point.

"As the players walk off the field in disbelief after inexcusably getting swept at home by the lowly New Orleans Dukes, the clubhouse doors were locked and the media had to wait an extra 10 minutes for Legendary Manager Lonnie Hydes post game blowup in the locker room, from that point on the Millers ..."

We'll see how the rest goes.

In my version Bafford quits baseball and joins figure skating.

...Then impregnates Talleys sister with his blue steel glance as he hits a go-ahead 2 run home run this weekend in Pawtucket off red. Talley can never re figure out what he "got" before, and goes on to become the second coming of Shane Carroll.

3-4 week against two of the better teams in the league, so I'll take it. I have to hope that our closers can do a better job of closing out games.

Chiba finally wakes up winning his first POW of 2011. However, the most interesting story in Baltimore has to be the play of Tara Tanaka. Tanaka has been our best hitter in the early season OPS'ing over 1.000 with an insane OBP of .463 on the season so far.

On the downside after two above average starts, Dave Crudge suffers another injury after just coming back off the DL this past week. After a few years of being relatively healthy in New Orleans, Crudge's fragile tag is starting to show since his trade to Baltimore. Hopefully, it is another minor injury that will only take a couple weeks or less to heal.
