2-4. Given our fast start not a complete shock. New season and Denver swept us. Lol, well done Carlos. Not happy with the way our bullpen blew up after the 6th a few of those games. Condo probably earned a demotion to AAA and Tom Farris will come back up.

In the plus side think SP Talley gets it.

7 game road trip against the Ale. Here we go.

On a side note: LOVE THAT PLAYERS ARE COMING OUT EARLY IN THE DRAFT!!!

Not calling it a superstar draft, but way more improved then before. Nice improvement in this version.

Well, not really the sim I was expecting at all. Very impressed that my offense is running on all cylinders. It reminds me of 2009 when we simply never stopped scoring runs (until the Brewmasters).

Denver has already scored 102 runs in just two weeks (13 games). That's pretty ridiculous. But I will always agree with others that it's better to rely on pitching than hitting. I'll just take what good we are getting and hope it keeps happening.

6-0. Swept Pawtucket on the road. Swept Maine at home.

We scored at least 9 runs in 4 of the 6 games and scored 6 and 7 in the other two. Meanwhile our pitching was solid. The bullpen was a bit of a focus in the off-season and it has done a great job to start the year. We added Anibal Sanchez and Zach Amaral. But most of the plus was in addition by subtraction. Sending Roger Medina, Evers and Doggett down really helped. Making Weitz the closer was the best move. I can rely on him all day. And I love Wil Perez's continued growth.

Offensively, Finkler won DL POTW. I liked him when we signed him in the off-season, but I would have never guessed he would have a week in which he hits 4 home runs and drives in 12 (not to mention 3 doubles and a triple). McPhenom hit 3 home runs and Verba hit 4. Wilkinson somehow drove in 11 from the top of the lineup.

We also had a player of the week in AA (Dusty Stefan) and A (last year's 3rd round pick Zachary Bromley who finds himself in the Top 100 Prospect list).

Next up is 4 games at home against LA and 3 on the road in New Orleans.

A 4-2 week for the Brawlers but I think this might be the first time we've taken a series from the boys in Windy City since I've been in charge. Some of the newer guys are swinging the bat really well, just hoping the veterans warm up soon. Jobe has certainly turned out to be a good pick up so far.

Apparently the college guys can declare a year early and the HS guys can declare if they will be 17 for the draft.

From what I've read some of the HS guys will then go play in college if they aren't drafted.

Ya got this. We already peaked. Worse yet, we got a top player now so our "team first" chemistry has been disrupted.

I would imagine a lot are declared eligible because the default is to have draft pick signings. A lot of players would then not be signed and return the amateur levels.

Actually it appears Sophmores are eligible. I use to think Cape us to do 3rd year players, but can't remeber.
