Needing free agency instead of raiding other teams AAAA/ prospects.

Its made for a more interesting free agency I think.

Not sure certain rebuilding teams would be spending more money on aging vets versus drafting lower cost rule V players with the hopes that some might catch fire IMO.

Also allows teams with deeper farm systems to properly develop certain plays they normally have to protect and start the clock far too soon.

Its a good thing I think.

There was a clock. "Option to minors" which can make a GM rush a player up a bit.

I know. But now there isn't.

We always talk in terms of bringing players up to too early, never the risks of leaving them down too long. The great majority of these guys don't have 10-20 years worth of talent. Their career arcs are maybe 4-6 years at best.

And they are going to waste on someone's AA team. :(

I didn't propose the new rule, but from a minor league stand point I can't say not unhappy about it.
The rule V really helps the high schoolers out the most. I think college kids are a different story.

A week after losing my closer for 8 weeks, we had another injury. Luckily it was just a ST depth OF.

                              8-6. Rotation looks questionable.
