Also, grats to Villarroel on 51 HRs, and Rosema on his extension.
I'm expecting a monster game from Fred Schubert.

Pitt wasn't the same down the stretch, but he's got Berry and Bafford back, and I'm expecting Thomas on the mound. That's a tough win for our team. Just hoping Skinner keeps it close, and our young guys grow up quick.

Wow, I just noticed the amazing season Hector Feliciano quietly had. That dude needs a chance somewhere. I don't think Hank is far off, but it's tough in a division with DVS and Washington. I must have tried 5 or 6 times to acquire him in the past.

Really broke the bank on that extension unlike you expected. Pleasant surprise.

I'm finding you can get players for far less than what they're asking on an extension. Got Rosema at about 4 million per less. CJ Skinner was asking for 18 per over 5 years. I asked for a response on a 2 year contract at 12 per and he said he'd sign it tomorrow. Submitted, so we shall see.

I'm finding this out too...just with Cardenas however.

I miss Skinner. I was hopeful you'd be unable to re-sign...glad he will stay in the DL, though.

I had no intentions of keeping him past this season, but he's been so great I can't let him walk.

                        How are tie-breakers determined?

I thought Philly would be the #1 overall seed because they have a better head-to-head but according to the Draft Order page, Washington will pick #22 and Philly #21...therefore, DC is the #1 seed?

And it has California drafting #1 and New Orleans #2...but I thought the tie-breaker was last seasons record? And therefore it should go to New Orleans?

You have a lot of financial flexibility with team options on Jerry Sanchez, Taylor Turney, Armando Ureste, Koichi Nakashima and Tyler McLouth. I expect you will decline all five and take that $40M+ into Free-Agency.

                            Correct.

I've become a huge fan of McLouth as a platoon guy, but he has to be used correctly. He's not an every day type player. He's the only one I'd consider keeping, but I don't like his price right now.

Yeah, that new "fragile" tag doesn't help either. OSA is also showing a decline in infield range. $7M is a lot of cash for a guy who might only suit up for 1/2 the season.

I'm sure you will decline and try and re-negotiate with a few of those guys...but having all that budget room could be really nice. There are a few decent players headed to FA.

Washington is projected at $10M in room for extensions/FAs. However, with my scouting and player development budgets some of the lowest in the league, I'd prefer to dump a little of the money there.
