Well, the Porter crown is finally ours once again (first time since 2004). Sitting at 97 wins for the season with two weeks left; seems a safe bet we'll set a franchise record for wins in a season.

-CL Jamie Crook has already set a team record by notching his 45th save on the season this week.

-September call-up Ivan Cuevas picked up the AAA Outstanding Pitcher award and has already turned in 2 really good starts as the 6th man in our rotation as we start giving guys extra rest in advance of the playoffs. He's a former early 2nd rd pick from 2006. His development has always seemed extra slow to me, but he has a shot to be a member of our bullpen/swingman next season as we expect some key departures this offseason.

Hopefully, Todd Taylor has finally made the jump to start consistently pitching at a Pale Ale level as he had done this year. He has always been a 2nd half of the season guy but he seems to have finally put the last piece together (his movement) and I'm very excited to see what he can do for the next few years.

Ughhh after a consistent July and August (2.90 & 3.33 era), SP Talley has looked like complete garbage past 3 starts and cold.

Fucken rookies. To think we'll. Be going thru this nonsense least 2 more times this decade.

Are you really complaining about all your tanked #1 prospects still developing?

Lol, yep. This years team is actually being lead by veterans when you look close enough. Rookies are coming along for the ride. Well... Maybe not 'Red'

A 2-4 week thanks to the Patriots. We took 2 of 3 from Toronto but got swept in Pawtucket.

We still hold a 6 game lead over Dallas and now have 90 wins for a second straight season. With 59 losses, it's unlikely we will get to 100. Extremely unlikely, unless we somehow go 10-3 over the final 13 games. Maybe. Who knows?

Jamie McPhenom hit another double and triple. He leads the league in both categories and despite having about half the home runs, is only 4 total bases back from league leading Dunn. He leads the league in VORP, and if he played better defense would be better than his 4.0 WAR. It's actually pretty scary that he's so bad defensively and can still earn a 4 WAR.

But his teammate Henry Rodrigues is also no slick fielder and he has a 5.7 WAR while leading the league in slugging and OPS. Plus he is still the RBI leader, though he has fallen out of the home run race.

We extended Dave Doggett. He pitched one inning for a save and struck out all three batters. We found our new closer, I think.

Leo Martinez is a certified bum. He looked to be something two years ago and then got injured and has never been the same. For a guy that was already on the edge of good or bad, that injury he could not afford.

Time to demote some guys that should not be playing.

Why isn't there a miraculous recovery from injury? This really needs to be implemented.

Well, considering he's no longer really an up-and-comer, this one is especially corny. And you gave it to him, it's like giving yourself a nickname.

Speaking of poor defensive outfielders , has anyone seen players "evolve" to other positions as they become older like OOTP said this version would do?

I've only seen players as they get older just end up staying the same or get worse like in past versions.

                              What do you mean exactly?

Speaking for my team, Tristan Romarigues won multiple DWIs at shortstop. Now he's nearing the end of his career and is an excellent defensive third baseman but doesn't have the range to excel at short any longer.
