2-1 vs. MOR, 2-1 vs. SEA - About what I expected. Death Valley also went 4-2 against the same teams, which leaves the Stout lead at 12.

Unfortunately, the injury bug came thru. 3B Alex Otero suffered an undisclosed injury and with the diagnosis pending will be put on the 14-Day DL. Inside the organization, P Stuart Guin (AAA) will be shut down for four months with a shoulder injury and 2010 4th Round Pick P J.D. Benton will miss 11 months.

      Pawtucket 4-2.

Note to new owners. No matter how good he is never start a lefty in Pawtucket unless he is 100%

Took the series against Pitt at home and Maine on the road. We also gave Oshman 2 starts this week basically ceding game #1 to Pitt, but it paid off.

Morales finally back though maybe he gets one week rehab to shake the rust off? Still need to figure that out.

The division is very much still in doubt, but this team is all about balance right now.

5-1, pitching was just superb this week. Even fill-in SP Jamie Stidham (in place of injured D. Martin) pitched a really good game with an 8IP | 1 ER | 8 K | 1 BB effort.

Stidham is a solid pitcher. With one option year left, I'm sure he will be a nice injury fill-in again next year.

As long as he stays healthy, he will go down as an All-Time great.

He's got contact, power, speed and he's one of only handful of players to have an "8" on avoid K.

1B/OF/DH Gabrielle Clareno is now hitting .323 with a .940 OPS as a sub off the bench. Paying $2.8M for (projected) 250 plate appearances is a bit steep but I knew he had something left in the tank.

                          6-1 week.

Finished the split against Pittsburgh and then won 2-1 over Toronto and swept New Orleans.

Now 20 games over .500 with a 5 game lead in the division.

I didn't think we would end up turning it around like this but I can't complain. As I've said, my goal is to make sure this franchise is continuously competitive and I hope the things I'm doing make that possible.

I'd give someone 2.8 MM to do that.
