    ****NEW OWNERS****

From here on out the only way to trade players is to FIRST send your kid thru waivers "Waivers" folder in our Transaction section. When placing a guy on waivers make sure in the drop box under prefix you designate "Trade waivers" From there a person can either be claimed or your player passes thru and you have til end of August to trade him if you wish.

See UMD's 1000 waiver guys for an example. I'll even claim one (Boatner) to show how it works. (and to piss UMD off)

Pawtucket 5-2. Of course thats one loss to many in this wacky race so we move a half game back.

Big week coming up and were down 2 major hitters right now. We need to just play even next few weeks and think we will be ok.

Also, we moved into the #2 on the team prospect ranking. Not bad considering all the top 10's that fell off this season.

2-5. Season is basically over. Combs and Bertin have 5+ ERA's. Time to tank like FC.

              Thanks to Brad and Matt!

4-2 with a game left in the Pittsburgh 4-game set.

We have traded away our two longest tenured pitchers and keep winning baseball games.

But that's none of my business.

Thanks Brad. Not too bad facing tough opponents this week. New guys should help down the stretch.

Get Melgoza in the rotation so I can see what he does in the IL. I expect good things.

Tameike in Pittsburgh seems to be having up and down starts. But I expect come playoff time, he will be just fine for them.

I like what TJ Davis has given us in AA. His strikeout numbers are climbing. Potter is getting comfortable in AA which probably means AAA for him sometime in 2011. And our first round pick this year, Gabby Smith, needs some development to get past A ball.

Can't wait to see what Guardian gives us.

We can't miss on pitchers in trades or the draft if we plan to keep this up beyond this season so my attention is on these guys as I tune my BLB club.

5-2 sim. 3-1 @ Batavia, 2-1 @ California. Stout lead up to 12 games. First place in Stout over Philly.

CF Manny Reyes is finally turning into the player the Bats expected when he was selected 9th overall in the 2000 draft out of High School. He is now on pace for 194 hits, 100 runs, 52 doubles, 9 triples, 11 homeruns, 105 RBI with an .811 OPS. Pretty amazing RBI pace when almost all of his ABs have come from the #1, #2 or #8 spot in the lineup. The 28-year-old won IL Player of the Week, including a 5-5, HR, 4 RBI, 2 R game against California.

The other player who has been red-hot lately is SP Robby Aten. Despite the fact that he has been on the trading block all-season and a mid-night deal was almost completely to ship him for the DL in a salary dump move, "Shameless" has been really putting it together. After a combined April and May where he went 3-5, with a 5.20 ERA, he has gone a combined 5-1, with a 1.70 ERA and .95 WHIP in his last eight starts. This week, 6 IP, 4 H, 0 R, BB, 8 K in an 10-1 win @ California. His last start before that: 8.1 IP, 5 H, 0 R, BB, 11 K in a 6-2 W vs. Davenport. He is now back up to #18 on the Top Pitchers List after being removed from his poor April-May.

The Bats are #1 in runs scored but still just #6 in ERA. There might be some changes in the rotation and bullpen down the stretch.

Aten is looking sharp. I wonder if anyone will dare claim him.

4-3 against Maine and Pawtucket. I'll take it. We are just enjoying the ride. It'd be nice to sneak into the playoffs but being 11 games over .500 at this point in the season is a pleasant surprise.

Brooks will likely stay in AAA until next season. Villarroel has slowed down but that was expected.

Aren't you tied for the 2nd wild card. Still early.

I think it will come down to the final week.

You are just two games back of Denver, who traded away a few key pieces. You are also currently tied with Maine for the Wild Card Play-In Game, and they just lost their best hitter, outside of Davila, for the next nine weeks.

If your bullpen ever figures it out, you probably get in.

That's a big IF. My bullpen is easily the worst I've had in my years of playing this game. It will likely break us.
