Pawtucket 5-1. Starting to wonder if this version bypasses growing pains?

LF- Tony Cavazos is doing what I thought he'd do last season batting an amazing .400 to this pt. Sure he will level out some, but got to be pleased with his stat lines.

We seem to be a "timely" hitting team mixing in on base with power hitting.

Knew the bullpen would be far better this season, but it appears we have least 2 starters are having career seasons?

Resign 1B Montalvo to reasonable one year deal. This allows us to take our time with (AAA) prospect Pat Powell.

Overall can't say I'm not pleased. To bad this is the Ale and expect to be chased by Pitt and Maine all season until we drop back.

5-1 week for Maine. Just what the doctor ordered.

Five game winning streaks for Maine and Pawtucket. Four game winning streak for Pittsburgh. The Ale is a minefield.

Jimmy Jones, in 12 games since coming over from Death Valley, is hitting .297 with a .891 OPS. Very happy. I hope B.J. Mulcahy contributes to the Scorpions.

6-0, needed that. Promoted Wood and Farfan, might as well see what those kids can do.

One of the better ideas we've had that has really added to the league for me.

                Chiba's statline this year:

                .407/.443/1.140, 12 HR, 29 RBI.

Go ahead and check his splits, Pat.

Wow, very unlucky so far this year. We just can't win these 1 run games and already have a -4 Pythagorean record. Still at 15-22, we're a half game out of first!

Ron Burton with a stellar first start in New York, going 8 innings and shutting out California. It's nice to have an ace again.

4-2 week including a sweep of the Clowns. Lost Antonio Cardenas for two weeks.

                      Eh.

                          3-3. Can't bust open yet.

Good hitting and pitching week for us. But we need a big month. Right now we are just hanging around.

Another 4-2 week for the Brawlers! Took 2 of 3 from Pittsburgh and Seattle. Next week will be telling though as Windy City is on the schedule and we just hate those guys as we can't seem to find a way to beat them.
