Our first Ale run went fairly well. Pawtucket 5-1.

Pawtucket 17-9 overall. Not bad even though its a bit unrealistic.

***SP Felipe Vega pitcher of the month somehow beating out fellow teammate SP Tom Farris??

*** New comer P Jarrod Nygaard pitched a one hitter thru 6.1 innings, then my manager pulled him. Guess he was tired??

*** We eased him in, but C Dave Piekarski finally got the full start this sim and responded with a .385 ba/ 1.159 OPS week! So what do we do with last seasons DWI winner Todd Robideau?

All good problems to have. Now to get Tony Cavazos out of playing CF all the time and make a sensible rotation in our outfield.

An 18-5 record in April has to be one of the best months in Freedom history. Hard to imagine many months beating that. We get Tom Griffiths back for the next SIM. Anxious to see what the lineup looks like back at full strength.

CAL IF Dani Trujillo is freaking amazing. He can't field anymore (I'll cut him some slack since he's turning 41 in a few weeks), but the guy just keeps hitting. Despite missing an entire season at the age of 40, he comes back and just rakes. A surefire BLB HOFer as a middle IF? I didn't know such a thing would ever exist.

15-9 April after a 5-2 sim. Went 3-1 hosting Morgantown, losing Game Four to former Washington Bat SP Lorenzo Campos who combines with the bullpen for a 3-hit shutout. Then went 2-1 in Denver, losing Game Three in the bottom of the 9th 2-3. I'll take it.

Death Valley continues their tear with a 13-game winning streak. Very impressive considering their injuries and the fact that they are running a 6-man rotation. Well done sir.

This team is very similar to last years, all offense, no defense, no pitching...but even more extreme. Despite not having a DH in the IL, the Bats lead the entire BLB in runs scored. Top to bottom the lineup is deadly and coming off the bench are a handful of guys who could easily be starters in the league. The problem? Their defensive efficiency is 8th in the IL and BABIP also 8th in the IL. Currently 11th in the IL in runs allowed.

4-2 week with some good pitching performances from our starters (except the struggling Gaxiola).

Making major changes to our pen by bringing up some youth. Will take time for them to adjust. I hate that Weitz is my main bullpen arm and doesn't see any action but the two lesser arms make 7 combined appearances. OOTP can be very frustrating at times. Bullpen usage simply does not work.

I feel some teams are trying to stack their lefty arms against us. We are 7-3 against LHP. We solved that problem. Come up with a new strategy.

Thanks, we're pitching well like always and we're hitting a bit better even with the injuries. Tyler Clarke has been a surprise early and has filled the spot for the departed Lindsey better than I could have imagined to this point. Lindsey has been great for Philly, but Clarke looks to be a strong arm for the future.

Sadly, I think Troy Hanback's run is done. If someone wants to run him out there at the back of their rotation, he can be had for a 10th rounder.
