Needed a lefty starter in the worse way since we have righties everywhere in our farm and just pulled from PD a bit. We don't have a ton of high contracts.

Now RP Lovera... Looking at our bullpen it's not embarrassing anymore.

Rule V pick CL Trent Mccleary ......hmmm have to see. Not sure we hold him .

Probably done with free agency except a small signing or two. Time to fix the stadium.

He's "wrecked" and you still have a January 1st re-scout coming. We shall see. But he definitely fits your mold of getting your entire pen right before they hit retirement.

I actually like the Oshman signing. Did the Clown overpay? Of course. But that's what you have to do to land the top notch Free-Agents. He had a down year in 2009 but I think he will bounce back. Combined with Lovera, Pawtucket might have landed the best SP and the best RP in Free-Agency Sim #1. Impressive.

Both true. Since 2004, he's had only one injury, and it was a minor 1-2 week one. I'm not too worried about his injury history. Maybe it'll come back to bite me, but for $2 million, I'll take that chance.

Got a nice system bump with Lovera , ranked 12th currently.

Think we lose this 1 spot before June's draft. It's nice having a well built system, but there comes a time you need to see the hand your dealt.

            Exciting times ahead.

With no budget room, I was very active in signing minor leaguers. I think majority of them, probably 90%, will be released after Spring Training but there were a few "gets" I'm excited about.

#1 - 2B Omar Sanchez - International Free-Agent, 24-years-old, my scout has him 4-5-3-4-5 potential, who with some experience, could be a plus fielder at 2B, SS, LF, CF and RF. He didn't make my organization Top 20 but I think he has a chance to become a utility bench option down the line.

#2 - RP Kinya Imakurusu - International Free-Agent, 22-years-old, my scout has him 6-4-4 potential with two plus pitches. Again, also a long-shot, but he has a chance to become a lefty specialist in the future.

#3 - C Rich Aguirre - 2003 3rd round pick. 24-years-old. Never a top prospect and doesn't project well with the bat. But my scout has his catcher defense 7-8 and he had two 5-hit games in the minors. Might have a chance to be a defensive replacement down the road.

              I know. Very exciting.

I tend to wait a bit longer just to see which guys that want $750,000 will sign for an MLC, but I'm almost there.

Already setting my sights on depth guys. No big free agent acquisitions for me. Red Lovera was my target guy and I went big on him, but he spurned me. Maybe he doesn't like Tony Perez. Or maybe he's telling me that Wil Perez is my future.

It never hurts to ask them to sign for a minor league contract. Well, that's not true. Sometimes if you offer it a few times when they say they want a major league deal, they will refuse to negotiate.

Kym did nothing to my scout's penis. He had no excitement for him at all though the report said he's a future ace. I can't see it. Maybe there's a bump in there my scout doesn't recognize.

But, Lovera is the real deal. He's going to be good and he's only 23.

                      That's why I wait.

McLouth immediately told me to go f- myself after one offer. And it was for more money than he's asking for now. Of course, I can't offer him anything because he keeps saying "we're too far apart."

I went after Kym also, but I just added 1ml to his asking price and hoped for the best. My scout had him as Ace in the making though when you dig deeper I wasn't impressed.

Lovera was a MUST have. I really needed a young bullpen arm to go with Righty Franco, Left Fajardo and Lefty Mack. See if paper translates to performance.

So my export didn't go through. Which means another week without a scouting director and I just don't freaking understand why after I set my up org the export which says was updated as recently as last night didn't go through.

There is no offer to the scouting director?

Sometimes it takes them more than one sim to respond...
