Congrats to Jistic. I believe the door is closing on both of us for our current crop of guys, I'm glad you finally got one.

Carlos I'm sure Denver will be back. Your team is darn scary and should be a force for years to come.

And UMD...you were right. Once Travis Neal went down and was out the playoffs the curse was finally over.

The things I worried over the most were exactly our downfalls in this series.

Windy City's left handed pitching forced me to make adjustments I am not quite ready to make. That will change soon. But I knew this year it would become an issue against either ILCS winner.

We only have three arms I can trust and had to throw Leo Garcia game one. That won't be a problem next year.

Thank you. PHEW. Great season Carlos. You're just beginning we're fading away. This starting 14 years ago with the selection of Herberholz in the 1995 draft and finally there's some payoff. With all the playoff flops I didn't even expect anything this year. FC kept telling me he thought it was my year but hey I guess he can be right once in a while.

Great series from Robles, Ramirez, and Mendoza, the former Bat 9th round pick finally made a difference. Also we bid Tom "Demo" Oshman a fond farewell. He had a brutal season but saved his best performance for game one where he pitched a master piece. Time to say good bye but at least he has a ring to take with him. He'll be replaced by rookie of the year winner Travis Stroble another lefty who looks to be a possible upgrade.

We'll mix in some new guys and start rotating stock to stay competitive. I'm not gonna do the total rebuild again. Glad I tried it once though. Time to go into "Pat mode." Would like to squeeze one more Bock title but it's just gonna get tougher as time is taking it's toll.

Yup, that's what I thought too.

Congrats to Jistic. This was a fun season even though I lost.

My PC crashed, I have no game access unless I can get it set up somewhere else. I hope I don't have to PM all my moves. That would suck.

Trust me, you know how I hate missing offseason sims. Worst possible timing.

                            Bats News!

-Manager John O'Kerrigan retires at 65. Dude had phenomenal ratings...however, in his 20 year managing career he only made the post-season five times. He was also costing me a pretty penny.

-2B Danny Romero and IF Alex Otero are both "Super 2" and are hitting arbitration. Well that sucks. They are going to combine cost me more than $10M. Wasn't factoring that in and I now have zero money available for extensions. There goes my plan to re-sign SP Dusty Paulsen.

-My budget is now $128M, tied for 5th in the league. I don't think it dropped, but I think I was top three last year. I get to Game Five in the ILCS, when my owner expects just a winning record, and this is how you repay me?

-Veteran RP Ismael Ramirez exercised his player option at $1.5M. My scout has him now at 6-6-5...he had him 8-5-5 in July...7-5-5 in September...now I understand the stuff rating going dow, as his velocity dropped from 100MPH in July to 96MPH now...but he gained a point in movement? Interesting. Still a bargain at $1.5M but the 36-year-old should give up on his dream to be my teams closer.

-Now I have to decide on the $20M Team Option of 3B/SS Antonio Cardenas and the $1.8M Team Option on SP Ian Fain. If I decline both, I would have a little bit of wiggle room for Free-Agency...but I think I want both back.

We forgot to resign our trainer, bench coach, and hitting coach!

                              Oops.
