We don't know what will happen in the playoffs, but I'd like to use this space to mention some things I'm proud of in this team. Mostly for me whenever I look back at old threads.

It's been a great season in Denver. We set a team-record for wins with 101. Won our first Pilsner division title since 1991. And made the playoffs for the first time in 18 seasons. Wow.

Jamie McPherson won the batting title and broke Leonel Tesina's franchise high.

Henry Rodrigues was a legit threat with the bat hitting 42 homers and driving in 146 RBI.

Tyler Quinn was everything we could have wanted in a mid-season acquisition; the same for the injured Pang and current starting 3B Tyler McLouth.

We managed to steal over 200 bases. And we also scored more than 100 runs than everyone else in the league.

Our pitching isn't great and there are definite question marks, but we will hope that our league-leading offense can carry us through the post-season.

Welcome to playoff baseball in Rocky Top.

Is there anything we can do about guys that can't be on our playoff roster but now have to clear waivers? I want them on my roster for next season but I can't keep them for the post-season.

If I had not made the playoffs, they could sit there with no issue.

edit: Duh, there's a different roster I can adjust. Ignore me.

Been a while since the playoffs

Great season in Denver. That's one long build dominant team that should look a lot like what Batavia and Windy City have done in the IL and Pitt has done in the DL.

As for us, this season was a letdown as far as production goes. Though surviving our atrocious late season is a definite success. It's never easy to make the playoffs in the IL with Windy City, Batavia, Baltimore, Davenport, Carolina and Washington either way out ahead of us or breathing down our necks. I'll take it.

It would have been nice to win the Stout another time, but I also knew Pat would throw Salzman because he wanted to match-up his lefty starters with Matt's team.

I haven't had success against either BAT or CHI recently, so neither match-up was really "better" for us. I went with Hanback in his last game of the season and preserved/rested my possible 5 man rotation for playing Jistic.

Congrats on the division title, Pat. You tricked everyone into thinking you were competing to lower expectations, but I saw through it the whole time.

Just FYI I did not sim until the start of the playoffs. I was a day short.

The next sim should cover 8 days but still be the normal 5 playoff games. Eight days will get us to Game 6 gameday if necessary.

Quick question: Do you guys raise your ticket prices for playoffs? I always have. If so, usually by how much?

I did a few years ago and it significantly dropped my normally high attendance. I raised it by 5.00. My ticket prices usually run between 14-15 dollars.

If next seasons WC rules apply today the loser of DV/Was would have played the winner of Car/Balt to see who plays Windy City in the Divisonal series.

                      Right?

Usually at $17.00 the fans leave in mass numbers, but yes you should.
You brought them a winning team now make them pay.

I raise and decline throughout the year based on attendance. I'd rather lose a few bucks to have sellouts though.

                            I'm exported. Ready for this!

Does the game still have that crazy bug where stadiums are half full for the playoffs? I always forget to check in other leagues and not sure what OOTP 14 does anymore anyway.
