Hope we clinch by our series with Baltimore because we aren't playing one starter and have three AAA call-up pitchers on the mound.

We went 5-1, sweeping New Orleans and taking two of three from Cleveland.

Meanwhile, Pittsburgh went 4-2 , so we picked up a game in the division race.

Now, a three-game lead entering the last week of the season should be enough to feel pretty comfortable. But we host Pittsburgh for a three-game series to start the week, so they will have an opportunity.

B.J. Mulcahy, Robby Shumway, and Danny Lebron all signed extensions to stay with the Guides' organization.

We're also three games ahead of Denver for home field.

TJ Dunn is 2 RBIs away from breaking the single season RBI record. Don Castor has the record in 1992 of 153 RBIs.

Dunn has also tied his HR record of 49. With six games left, he looks to break the 50 mark!

Our first bad sim in a while. 3-4. For whatever reason, Pawtucket gives us a tough time. We lost 2 of 3 at home to them and then split with Dallas in a 4-game set.

We finish up with a two-game series at home against Syracuse and then 4 games on the road against Indianapolis. Still a decent chance to surpass Maine/Pittsburgh since they can beat up on each other, but not counting on it.

Bad week from our hitters. Average from the pitching.

Henry Rodrigues reached 40 home runs and surpassed Pedro Zamarida in season RBI.

Tamieke reaches 20 wins. First Denver pitcher since Jerry Dean had 23 in 1979.

Gaxiola has 19 wins and will get one more chance to join Tamieke in the 20-win column.

We now have 97 wins. That's the highest win total in Denver franchise history.

A 3-3 sim will get us to 100. That would be nice.

              Spoiler

My owner expected a "winning record" this season and we have accomplished that. I feel like I'm playing with house money.

We're 100-53, but my owner expects us to win the championship, so . . . yeah, still trying to satisfy him here.

My owner has expected us to "win it all" for majority of my BLB career.

5-2, too little too late. When do I get to decline Tanaka's team option. Wanted to do that yesterday.

                        You have two options here:

                        1. You can release him for this sim. This would remove Tanaka's $10.9M team option which gives you a few playoff sims to spend that $10.9M on pending Free-Agents such as Bobby Tiscareno and Colin Reed. I would recommend this method if you don't have any interest in keeping Tanaka for next year.

                        2. You can wait until the season is over and decline it, like Carlos said, right before arbitration. I would recommend this method if there is a chance you would like to keep Tanaka at a lesser price.

It's not like he fires you if you don't meet his expectations. Owners are turned off so let them bitch all they want.

Pawtucket 2-4 . last road trip beating Denver then the bats shutdown at Pitt. Lots of rookies trying to get at bats right now. Usuall growing pain crap.

Picked up what we think will be a nice backend RP in Zachery Mack. Hoping we catch lightning like we did with CL Franco. Worse case, he's cheap.

Final sim at home and going with a 7 day lineup for maybe our 2nd time this season to get Tony C in the lineup since he never has played with Ron Harward and Iserael Morales before. 70 wins feels like a reach, but seeing it's home you never know.

About to end our first season in the black in about 5 years (not including th money we will be stealing from the high revenue teams). Finally we can fix this stadium

It's a good pick up. He should be pitching a lot better than he has the past two years.

However, he had been angry since arriving from New Orleans and with my bullpen already full, and a few youngsters coming up, I felt sending the angry old man packing my be the best move going forward. Clearing $660K doesn't seem like much but I'm usually right up against my budget every year.

wanted to do #1 but didn't know if it was against the "gentleman" rules. Reed goes on the market, I have a platoon of 2B people and his contract is the first to expire. Will be tough to find the money to get Tiscareno. Hopefully the owner helps out when we get to that sim.
