Honestly, I think HOF voting is a great way for a new owner to "get to know" the history of the league. Gives you an exercise/excuse to look at past players for comparison purposes.

I don't know how the utility calculates its "time since retirement", but I'm thinking he'll get selected next go round. Not being able to see the queries behind the selection engine I can't say for sure.
Edit: That is weird though, since you specifically mentioned Diaz . . .who spent a great deal of time pitching in 2005. Give me some time and I'll mess around with writing our own selection criteria query that we could run outside the utility (you can "hard code" a player ID into the utility to appear on the ballot).Last edited by BradZ; 01-08-2015, 04:17 PM.Philly Freedom
