            Spoiler
Plenty of close losses this month. Opened up 5 games on WAS which I didn't expect to happen at all. I'll be happy to get out of August with a 3 game lead with such a down month.

Troy Hanback gets his 1st Vegas win with a 7 IP, 7 hit, 6 K, 0 ER gem to beat Cleveland 3-1 on the road.

Tony Garza comes back from his injury to give the line-up a little spark. Taylor Turney is back after this week to give us another boost as rosters expand.

If another hitter or two wakes up in September, we could be poised for a strong finish.

              That's tough to take.

I should have offered him like $500K.

Not the best month for us, and Pittsburgh is streaking. Tied atop the Ale.

DFAing Jarrod Swann. He had a good first couple months out of the pen, but couldn't sustain it. Robby O'Neal gets a crack at the fifth starter spot for the last month-plus.

Pawtucket 4-2. Really seem to be playing better on the road these days. We might even be slightly above .500 since Allstar break? (Need to look)

Almost at our win total from last year which admingtly not that difficult to do. Waiting for September to bring a few more children up.

                  Good times.

Note: YEP, 19-17. Keep it up boys.

On pace to finish our second sub .500 month in a row.

This team just isn't very good. We have a good group of hitters, speed to burn and a top notch bullpen...but our defense is average, our HR power is severely lacking and our rotation is one of the worst in the BLB. I've gotten this far by playing favorable pitching matchups when I can but it's starting to catch up with me. Last year we finished the season 81-81 and we are likely to finish around that mark again.

                    Fast forward to the off-season.

5-1. Batavia ended our 12 - game win streak thanks to another poor performance by Hoffman, but we took the next two and then swept Philly.

We scored 52 runs in six games. The offense is basically at its best.

We have done this with below average pitching these past weeks. Since the playoffs are looking more real by the sim (7 up on Dallas), we will keep Sully's words in mind: it will be interesting to see if this offense continues scoring rubs against playoff rotations.

19-2 in August. Never in my time here with this franchise.

Zachary Potter in A ball is 4-0 with a 0.00 ERA in his last four starts. Amazing.

Now to see what my Travelers and 89ers can do in the postseason. Little Rock has won 2 of the last 3 A ball titles. Oklahoma City has never won.

Just noticed that Verba at #20 has joined McPherson (#1), Perkins (#6), Quinn (#7) and Rodrigues (#17) in the top 20. Nice. Tamieke is climbing at #15 for the pitchers list.
