And TJ Dunn has already made an appearance on the Top Players list.

    Also...

Marshburn Joins Kings of Clout with #300: Los Alamos right fielder Sonny Marshburn blasted himself into an elite group of baseball players. Today he joined the exclusive 300 home run club in the Amigos 4-3 loss to the Carolina Tobs.

"As soon as I hit it, I knew it was gone. I was happy to move on. Now I can go and have some fun. It is a weight lifted off my shoulders," Marshburn told the press. He admitted just how much pressure he had been feeling. "Especially every time you'd get out of the hotel, everybody would say, 'Hey, when are you going to hit it?'"

In his milestone game, Marshburn went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored.

In his career Marshburn has played in 1759 games, totaling 1622 hits, 219 doubles, 39 triples and 300 homers. He has hit .269 with 977 RBIs and scored 1093 times.

I just threw up a little bit.

Went 2-2 hosting Baltimore but then got swept by Philadelphia and had injuries to my #1 SP Robby Aten, my #1 hitting prospect Jamie Urmson and my #1 pitching prospect Jimmy Razza.

Clubhouse shakeup results in 6-0 week (all on the road), including sweep of WAS. We hope to be active in the trade waiver market (buying and selling). Let's talk.

3-3 week, but still open a 6 game lead on WAS with them coming to the desert this week. We'll see if we can put any more distance between us.

Taylor Turney gets hurt, but Tom Cole is killing it so he'll move to 1B and Danny Salcedo will move to C.

A 3-3 week at least gets us tied with Dallas.

For whatever reason, we can't seem to play with Pawtucket. But we took 2 of the first 3 games in a 4-game series with Maine. Boggles the mind.

A good hitting week which seems like a weekly thing, but we gave up a lot of runs and a lot of home runs. .500 week seems right to me.

                6 games out of first...what?!

That 2-13 record in extra innings isn't helping.

                  Pawtucket 3-3.

                  The good:

SP- Alex Martinez back from a 5 week injury and continued where he left off. Anyone need a 4 starter that's cheap?

Rookie LF- Ron Harward OPs 1.119 with 4 Homeruns in two weeks. I'm sure he levels off, but encouraged.

Rookie RF- Isreal Morales hit his 20th homerun. Hit a rookie wall last month, but gut tells me he snaps out of it.

Semi Rookie 1B - Tom Smith 3rd in the DL in batting average at .320 plus my scout just gave him a bump in eye?

                  The bad:

Despite being 4th in runs allowed our bullpen is spotty at best.(9th)

12th in runs scored. Grant it this a young team with players being trickled in, but must lead the lead in double plays?

Is SP-Enrique Andujar going to be worth 12 million next season or is our money best spent elsewhere? Next few months will decide.

Minors: 5 players now in the top 20 and three on them will impact us by 2010 or sooner. Exciting times.

At this stage of the season did we expect to be better? Sure, but by only 3-5 games. I'm realistic. If we underperform Im sure we won't mind one final 4-6 pick.
