    Contract Reform is in effect...

1.) If Team Option is used the Buyout must be the difference between Option year and highest Guaranteed year.

2.) Only one Team Option may be used per contract, and it must be in the last year of the contract. This prevents people from stacking Player Options after the Team Option.

If the rule is broken the Team Option year(s) will be turned into a guaranteed year(s).

WAS dumped some cash on NO, we extend our lead to 4.5 games. Should be interesting when the second shoe drops.

We go 5-1, taking 2 of 3 against division leader Dallas and sweeping Syracuse.

The good news is our hitters just kept hitting. Didn't really do it with the home run this time, but did it with extra base-hits and the stolen base. Pitching was also good enough to keep some games close.

The bad news is we lost our bullpen anchor in Zack Mueller. He was previously injured for 2 weeks but now, in his best season out of the pen, he's gone for 4 months/the season. Big blow to our pen but we will figure it out.

I guess the Tobs have woken up. I think Molina has pitched his last start. Such a frustrating player.

                Pawtucket 5-2.

I need to write some debut's for 3 guys this season, but 2008 first rounder OF Ron Harward looked pretty solid in his debut hitting 2 homeruns and OPS above 1.000!!!

We got some power coming, just need to stay patient.

TJ Dunn is clearly making a statement about being left off the All-Star roster. 6 HR's in one week? No big deal.

On pace for 57 - the countdown is on again this year.

3-3 but I'm happy because for the first time this year, we finally had a week where we didn't lose a game because of our pen.

Todd Taylor's greedy ass got paid so I expect him to be lights out this second half of the season. Also shaved a few more from Washington but it looks like Carolina and Davenport will all be on the mix for that final spot. Should be very interesting WC race in the IL.

Pat is in full blown scrap mode fighting for the playoffs. You can tell when he starts signing injured players.

Why isn't he a top player?

Pretty sure the DH spot held him back. Also his OBP was just over .300 at selection time. Not sure why HAL hates him.

I just don't understand why teams release injured players...every team has a DL.

The last guy I got is CF Gil Tipp. He's out 8 months. He's 22. My scout has him 4-4-2-4-4 potential, 6-6-5 defense and 8-8-6 speed. In 110 career Single-A games he's hitting .276 with 24 stolen bases.

He's a long shot sure, but I'll see what my medical staff can do.
