    Pawtucket 1-3.

Still 4th in runs allowed, but we just can't seem to find a lineup that works.

I'm guessing you might see two new faces next week.

OF- Pigyan might of seen his last day in Pawtucket
IF- Travis Zuk just doesn't seem to be getting it, but IF Picasso is 32 and doesn't play as good a D. One will be gone.

Think its time to see what either OF Ron Harward or OF Tom Van Leer can do.

Also 1B/2B Danny Cruz has been tearing it up all season in AAA, bolted up to #10 on our prospect, Allstar this season and is 25. He's sort of a free guy so wouldn't hurt Cruz to see some time at 2B while we try to adjust our IF to get any production from these guys.

Slowly the young kids will be coming.

Not how we want to come out of an AS break.

Washington goes 1-3 in Seattle, all loses by one-run: 1-2, 9-10 and 2-3. The Bats are now 10-14 in one-run games despite having one of the best bullpens in all of baseball. Now trailing Death Valley by three games with a rough stretch of games coming up: 3 @ DAV, 4 @ WC, 4 vs. BAL. I'll be lucky to be still leading the Wild Card after those 11 games.

Can someone explain to me what has happened to Pat Ladd? The past few years he has been rated as one of the best players in baseball, including spending sometime at #1 as late as a year ago. I know he is "fragile" and has battled injuries but wow he has fallen hard. At the start of the season he went from a top 5 player ranking on the top 20 to immediately removed. Then he has proceeded to hit .215 with a .628 OPS. His BLB career is .273 and .861. Might need a change of scenery?

On the bright side, SP Robby Duffy is emerging as a nice player. The kid gives up a HR per start (4 on movement) but has managed to still go 9-4 with a 2.82 ERA and .90 WHIP. Sure, the .236 BABIP might have something to do with it...

With 11 days until the trade deadline, the Bats are desperately working the phones...stay tuned.

Zachary Potter - our first round pick with the horrible control but great stuff and several potential plus pitches - is now 4-0 with a 1.69 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 37 innings of A ball in Little Rock.

He just finished throwing two straight games of 7 shutout innings each. While I will keep hoping he somehow sees a jump in control to at least a 4, I'm still thinking he might be so dominant with his pitches and stuff, it might not even matter if he walks a batter per inning in the BLB level.

I'm already regretting passing on him.

Him and that catcher Pawtucket got were highly considered with my two picks.

Zachary Potter was on my list for pick 18.

Seems "stuff" for starters really became a huge value in this version.

I like Wayman. I think he had to be selected there. Gray is so-so for me. Obviously great power but the potentials elsewhere would have scared me off.

I just liked the idea of Wayman and Gray coming up together. Plus, infield power is sexy.

That's true. I see what you were doing there by taking them together.

Yeah Wayman was my guy. I wanted him to come up with 'Beanpole' and my prospect young OF.

Lol, now I have this train of catchers thru my system.

Don't remember having 4 players on the all star team and don't remember taking 3 of 4 from Pat. Good week I guess.
