We're somehow in first place despite not being able to hit at all.

We had the best offense in the league last year, brought everyone back, added Hamilton, and rank 10th in the DL in runs scored. Guys just are not hitting. It's mid-May — I'm getting worried. Might need to make a trade.

Back in first. Blew a save and I started Marrujo against my better judgement and he got shelled. We lose Amaral, but I think we are deep enough to survive. Colin Cash returns after this week. That will give us a solid boost.

Definitely miss Reynolds HRs and no Cash has kind of had us in the middle of a power outage. This team is built around pitching like I always tried to do, so as long as we keep doing that we will be fine.

4-2 week winning both series against Death Valley and Indianapolis but lose another game in the division as Dallas keeps rolling.

We have a four-game set in Dallas coming up to maybe close the gap a bit.

Nice to see Hoffman pitching well. Melgoza had his worst start and took his first loss but didn't look awful. It happens. Tamieke, on the other hand, had a dominant week and Gaxiola continues to look good out there.

Offensively, it's all McInturf, McPherson, Perkins and Rodrigues again. Verba added a homer and Wilkinson & Eckstein are doing well enough to OPS over .700 for the week.

We are trying to keep up with the Ale and Dallas so we're not on the outside in September.

Pawtucket 3-3 facing the Bock & Lager 1st place teams. This game is tricksy.

We tweaked the lineup a bit and for now it seemed to work.

            Some rookie notes:

RF Isreal Morales gets player of the week!! Nice to see this from a kid with less then 45 days of BLB service. Now for him to figure out how to play on the road.(Lefty so this makes no sense) I think E.Bafford gets the New Brew award this season, but Morales could possibly end up #2. Decent rookie class coming from the DL.

1B Tom Smith is this kid for real? Still need a larger sample size, but he's batting .427 with a plus 1.00OPS. Not a big fan of contact only 1B players, but the former 2nd rounder has hit well at every level. POT of 7 for contact, might be ok.

The Bock stretch was puzzling (1-11) but looking at the stats right now get the feeling this team won't end the season at 12th for runs scored.

              First suspension.

Watford for Syracuse gives up a 3 run HR, beans the next batter for Seattle, words are exchanged and both get ejected.

Like my lineup but there are still roster moves to make. Tied for first with Z, so far so good.

Finally the sim I've been looking for. Went 5-1 taking 2 of 3 from Cleveland and sweeping a 3 game series from Washington. Shook up the line up for this one and it seems to have helped for this week.

We actually won a series in Pawtucket. That dump needs a wrecking ball.

We've been doing with offense as our starting pitching is starting real slow this year. Finally got some bats back in the lineup from injury. Not worried about the pitching as you know the great one always said, "Water finds it's level."

Travis Neal back on the top players list. He's still available for serious offers. Need to move up another pitcher before he rebels against me.

Side note. I wonder what Carolina's record is since they declared the races would be over by August last year?
