          Pawtucket....YUK!!

Haven't won a game yet against the Bock. Dear god. I know pitching is needed for any hopes come playoff time, but when you average 3.1 runs per game including this stretch of scoring 1 run or less in 7 straight games its probably not going to get it done. Even the power shortage seems a bit puzzling. We get Windy City coming up...sigh.

Obviously some changes in the lineup are needed. The pitching has been about what I expected. Always a risk putting a pitcher in thru a trade without some tweaks, but that will be corrected.

In other news...well C Dave Piekarski looks good in AAA & C Todd Robideau is hurt in the BLB. Hmmmmmmmmm

Will happily take the 5-1 week against the Bock. We've now pulled even with Pittsburgh in first place.

I see Los Alamos signed Morris, Marshburn, and Kobayashi. Not sure how that trio is going to work, though I guess he does need corner outfielders pretty badly.

3-3 week, took 2 from Batavia so happy about that. Dunn has cooled his jets the past two weeks but others are picking up his slack.

Culler is having a strong start to the season, showing glimpses of his early California days. Once again it's that age 31 season?

AJ Hightower has been roughed up his past three starts and is on the bubble to be sent down to AAA Ottawa. Sopas is back in 2 weeks so somebody from the staff will be going down and at this time it will likely be him. Our other former Bull Ron Malone is looking to settle into his role as a back of the rotation starter.

Evers has also been shaky to start the year and Marco Perez is eyeing up the closers role...

5-1. Swept Washington and took 2 of 3 from Morgantown.

Henry Rodrigues currently leads the league in home runs and RBI. He's like the impressive little brother. Playing under the shadow of McPherson, Perkins and maybe Verba, but he's been the best run producer for this team since being called up two seasons ago.

Gaxiola threw two 8 inning, 1 run games. Assuming he's ready to be a real arm for us, it would be a huge win for us with the way Tamieke and Melgoza are throwing to have those three arms pitching next to each other.

Hoffman and Garcia should be serviceable. At this point it's looking as if we are just waiting on Shefelbein and Robertson to make their debuts.

Still feel this lineup can still grow offensively which is amazing for a team first in runs.
For this to work, we need our pitching to catch up.

I didn't expect to get all three. There are worse problems I guess...

Better to figure out where to play guys than to find guys that can play.
