    Weird week.

We went to Pittsburgh and got swept. Then came home and swept Windy City.

I'd rather have it the other way around, you know? We're three games back in the Ale, which isn't much at this stage of the season.

We still have mostly road games this month. Our home schedule doesn't pick up until June. We only have six home series in April and May combined, versus ten road series.

Thought maybe we were about to steal Oscar Gomez on the cheap, but it looks like perhaps Death Valley is swooping in to get him.

      Pawtucket 1-5.

Sort of expect this team to be doing alot of this. Good sim, bad sim. Left a couple of games on the table for Los Alamos to win so we start May the same way we started April.

See if we can tweak somethings for next sim.

I'm shocked he hasn't been signed yet. Even if I was a non contender, I would give him a decent offer. He's 34 and probably still has a few good years left...I'm sure someone could sign him and then flip him closer to the deadline.

Then why haven't you signed him?

5-1 week. Nice start to the season. The young slugger Villaroel is off to an incredible start.

4-3. Split WAS and beat SYR. Cleared some roster space, some of the kids will be getting a look. DAL and IND next.

Washington Bats - 17-8, 1st Place in Stout; 4-3 Week: 2-2 vs. DVS, 2-1 vs. IND

The Good: After ignoring the bullpen in Free-Agency, I acquired David Rodriguez from New Orleans and Ismael Rodriguez from Pawtucket to anchor the setup/closer platoon. Together they are 1-0, 9 saves, 2 ER in 18 IP. A big reason why Washington leads the IL in bullpen ERA at 2.40 through the first month of the season.

The Bad: After his 21-game hitting streak ended, 1B Tyler McLouth has now hit 2/25 and is ice cold. I think his injuries over the years have begun to add up and he might not be the player he once was. Hitting just .242 with a .578 OPS is not going to cut it for a 1B...but I'm paying him $10m so we will have to hope for the best.

The Ugly: Winning only two of four against Death Valley sucks. Especially by a combined three runs.

Next Week: Interleague play! Three vs. Denver, Three @ Syracuse. Hoping for a big week but I got a bad feeling.

I'm not confident in my three-game set against your team. Though it's basically my three best arms against your three weakest, I feel this is exactly the type of series that my team won't take advantage of. I'm mostly optimistic as a person but OOTP has made me a pessimist in text-sim baseball.

As for this week. Denver BC goes 4-2. We finally sweep Syracuse for probably the first time in ages. I don't know. We were so tired of them bringing out the brooms, Denver city stopped selling them as a mandate from the mayor. So this time around we had to fold paper several times over and wave them around like fans during the ninth inning of the third game. Tamieke wasn't offended.

Lost 2 of 3 to Seattle. Blew the middle game of the set when the bullpen imploded. It happens.

Couple of big weeks but none bigger than Henry Rodrigues with his 3 home runs, 9 RBI and .421/.450/.895 line.

Baltimore's Chiba and our Dave Perkins are still batting over .400. Not looking forward to that slump.

4-2 for the sim and 13-13 overall. I'll take it although I would have liked to see a more competitive series against Pittsburgh. Props to Augustin Perales for his DL Batter of the Month Award. Its time to pack our bags and head to the Windy City then back at home for a series against Los Alamos.

I hope you are right but I don't like the pitching match-ups. So far my rotation has exceeded expectations but I think they will come back to earth shortly.
