Guessing you guys don't understand the forced stats limitation of the game so not worth making the observation.

Not worried about Wilkinson. At all. There's absolutely zero concern about his growth and development.

Not sure where I said I was worried about those things.

Rocky Top is not the friendliest to RHB and he's good but really not top notch against RHP. Plus at 23 you have him hitting top of the lineup against RHP. Lotta pressure.

You might want to try Eckstein up there and let him develop lower in the lineup.

Looks like someone is trying to get Oscar Gomez for the low in FA. If I had some cash to spare, I'd definitely bring him back to Baltimore.

Age isn't important. Perkins finished second in batting hitting leadoff all of last year at age 23.

Eckstein has been in the league just as long as Wilkinson. Switching them because of development is counter-intuitive if leadoff is the reason why a guy struggles.

I actually do agree that leadoff might be why Wilkinson is struggling, but not for the reasons you think. This pressure thing is hogwash in my opinion.

Surprised he stuck around so long as a free agent.

              Age/Experience, just splitting hairs there.

My guess is Eckstein was already closer to his offensive potential than Wilkinson so he's probably less likely to struggle at this level.

Some guys perform and others don't and while I don't disagree that there may be stat limitations programmed into OOTP with so many variables involved, it is a bit of a leap in logic to automatically assume that is the reason that he isn't performing.

Plus, guys wouldn't ask for specific spots in the game if it weren't important. Some may call it a variable programmed into the game, but I just call it pressure because that is the real life concept that they are trying to simulate.

Wilkinson wants to hit lead off.

It's all good. Like I said, wasn't concerned. Just stating an observation. To me Wilkinson is the stat victim in a lineup with enough potential high average guys.

The rest is nice and I appreciate the input but I simply disagree.

Was happy to see Quinn back on there. He gets on there, wins Stout slugger then falls off for no reason, spends 5-6 seasons trying to figure it out?

Quinn and Dunn seem to be feeding off each other. It's an amazing 3-4 combination.

I don't know what the trigger was on his career? Our ballpark is lefty hitter friendly so that could be it. Maybe it's because he hit 30 years old?

He is in a contract year and is looking for a MASSIVE deal. 9 years at 17M each. If we aren't in the hunt in July I will likely have to deal him.

3-3 for the Bulldogs and it looks like we are pretty a much a mediocre team early on. A lot like our early and mid nineties teams that could score but couldn't pitch. Hadn't seen something like this in a while. I can't remember the last time our bullpen was this bad.
