We found some good second and third round talent in those early years.
I'm guessing those feeder guys weren't affected yet by the game's new code.Denver Bulls

My guess is that they won't be affected until that draft class is actually generated by OOTP so the guys that graduated in 2008 are the ones that start to become affected.

I rate myself a C at drafting. F the first run, but a high B the second time around and we nailed some picks that we were proud of in the late 90's:
Tom Hau- 2nd round
Marco Luna- 2nd round
Jon Montalbo- 3rd round
Todd Robbideau- 3rd round
Plenty of misses also (Ed Kissinburg 2nd round), but since we didn't have many first rounders to work with we had to work hard in the other rounds.
Remember we don't have scouts traveling the country looking at certain players nor do we have 40 rounds to waste away. Also, I'm pretty sure in the real MLB if you had a mid first round pick and your scout's view was "Very little potential" you might end up firing him.
Since its only 10 rounds always had the NFL thought in my head not Basketball
1st round - Must hit! Your core comes from there
2nd - 3rd round- Your hard work/ research rounds. If you can nail 50% and an occasional star (Lona would be one) your doing good.
4th- 5th rounds- Gut instinct rounds. Look for something thats stands out then hope for a dice roll
6+- Lottery time
Now its:
1st round TOP 12- Must hit
1st round 13-24- Work hard, hope he plays someday
2nd round- Gut instinct round.
3+ Lottery time
I guess we will see. If anything least I get to spend less time come draft day.WINDY CITY PLAYBOYS
