One game after setting a BLB-record by striking out five times in a game, Van de Putte (the injury fill-in for Hector Gutierrez) hits a solo-shot in the 5th...the only run scored in Game Seven. Wow.

Despite my owner being "furious" that we didn't reach the playoffs, he raised my budget up to $130M. That's 2nd highest in all of the BLB. My current player payroll is $70M. I have a few team options to decide on and a bunch of guys headed to arbitration.

It's good to have a sim where I have something to over analyze.

This is one of those things OOTP needs to fix. Not pointing it out so it affects you, just saying in general it's weird how players don't realize what money they are giving up when declining an option.

This happened to me with Tony Perez. I remember when Clay tried telling me I was going to regret having to pay him his contract that Linty offered and I already knew that Perez had an option I or he would decline and make him make less. And that's exactly what happened.

Robby Aten exercises his right to test Free Agency. Unless Syracuse comes to an agreement with him, he probably becomes the biggest pitching target in the market.

One hell of a win for Jimmy and the Dinos.

Probably not that big of a surprise as the Dinos were the hottest team entering the playoffs and their rotation had the optimal mix of young stars and seasoned vets.

I'm very glad Jimmy was able to get Kiefer a ring. Awesome year for him, while exorcising his playoff demons of last year.

Great job to both managers.Extremely entertaining playoffs this year (minus us getting booted so early)

Don't forget about CL Seinosuke Sakuma's retirement, either...

I'm assuming Jake will do everything possible to re-sign him...including declining SP Tyler Gerard's $19.2M Team Option if necessary. If Brewmaster Champ Jonathan Burns re-signs too, the SP market will dry up pretty quick.
