Not surprised to see Baltimore taken out. This wasn't a good match-up for them at all. I also think them finishing as the higher seed actually hurt them in the long run. Baltimore is a good team but they are a completely different team home/road. At home, the Bulldogs have 2 hitters with 1.000+ OPS, 2 with .899+, 3 with 800+, 4 with .745+ and 2 with .660+. On the road, 1 hitter with .800+, 6 with .700+ and 6 under .700. Of all the playoff teams, only Pittsburgh had a worse road record. With the Playboys stealing Game One and heading to Windy City for three straight, Baltimore's bats went cold against that dominant rotation.

Congrats to Delandis though. I do think this was your best team since you won the title in 2001. In the other series...

I think Pittsburgh is in trouble. Like Baltimore, they are a much better team at home. They really needed to steal one of the first two games but couldn't. The Dinos can throw any of their top three pitchers in the final two home games. The Millers have a chance but I think this one will go to LAD.

It will be interesting to see who Syracuse throws if the series makes it to Game Seven. Jody Richards is the obvious Game Six starter but will Jake go with the 25-year-old Velasquez who got rocked in Game Three? Or the 36-year-old veteran Tyler Gerard on short rest?

The Batavia-Death Valley series is too close to call. The teams are very evenly matched and while the Muckdogs do have a 3-2 lead, they have to win in Death Valley. I think this one goes seven.

Ah. I knew it was a long shot anyway. I needed another top tier pitcher in the rotation and pen but we were too broke and cheap to make the moves necessary to be a true playoff contender. The pen blew too many games in the regular season and we aren't really a team made for late series rallies so it is no surprise that we went out this way. Good series, Jistic.

I think it may be time to break up the band......

Good series and season Prez. I felt we had a shot but didn't think we'd do this well. Our whole key was splitting the first two games. I liked our chances at home.

This is one of our scrappier teams for sure. Thankful for a little extra rest for the rotation as well. For once it worked out for us.
