Tremendous sim for us. Most excellent.

Looks like Mike opened up his pocketbook for Schubert. Hopefully (for his sake) those injuries don't end up biting him.

Another 4-2 week has us in the rear window. 4 games back of Syracuse and 4.5 of the wild card. Took 2 of 3 against Indy and Syracuse.

Big four game set with Dallas up next.

Danny Lebron, of the championship team, back with the Guides for the moment after countless injuries, went five for eight last week in his return to the team.

On Sunday night, in the eighth inning, he homered into the right field bleachers at Old Port Park.

I like to imagine he received a standing ovation.

2-4 sim now 67-69, on pace for the second sub-.500 season in Washington history...

Rookie catcher Wayne Nelson hit a two out, 1st inning Grand Slam in his debut...

            Is it October yet?

Yuk sim. Wonder if the player I've been eyeing for two seasons will be there at the number 2 pick next season?

AAA season over for Lynn. #47 prospect Troy Donovan and former 2.1 pick 1B/DH Tom Smith will get a call up amongst others. Top ten prospects SP Talley, C Dave P and CF/RF Morales will have to wait just bit longer.

We signed a lot players for some open 30 day tryouts. Gives us something to do.

Team record? Pretty sure 49 is the league record.

Update: Nevermind. Thought McGuire had 49 for Maine.

Crazy that Pete Kellum's single season OPS record from the league's inaugural 1978 season still stands.

That dude was a monster for three years.

Still, he's hardly the only great hitter to play in an advantageous park.

                              Or pitcher.

And its also going to be pretty hard to OPS that high only hitting well at home.
