2008 Regular Season SIM 17 Complete - Next SIM Friday 10/03
Adamson seems the type to me that will do well in Washington, even if he ends up being one of those guys that suddenly washes up in three seasons. Not bad for trading away two free agent non starters.
As for me, Roberts and Celedon provided exactly what I've needed in my LHP lineups though we lost the one game they both started. We scored runs which is important.
We need to stop the runs now. It doesn't help that now one half of my rotation is pitching better, the top half is pitching worse. Of course.
Brayden Jamieson presents an intriguing Guides story years in the making.
He's a right-handed pitcher who went undrafted out of high school in 2002 and signed with Maine after the completion of that year's minor league campaign.
Though he's had a few shaky seasons along the way—a 5.41 ERA in his first year and a 5.37 ERA in his first full AAA season—we stuck by him.
Now he's a 24 year old who dominates AAA pitching to the tune of a 2.84 ERA with 114 Ks and just 23 walks and 4 home runs allowed in 145-plus innings.
He made the AAA All-Star Game this year and just cracked the Top Prospects list at number 94.
He might join the Guides this year, or perhaps he'll wait to compete for a rotation spot in spring training 2009.

Either way, keep on eye on him! Fun story.
I almost asked you about him in our latest trade talks.

These are always my favorite players. I'll be watching.
