Took three of four from Cleveland.

Jerrod Dapson is hurt. Again. This poor fucking guy. He must be one of the most injured guys in league history. I'm AMAZED he's still as good as he is with all these injuries.

Thank god I got Travis Basker from Indy as insurance.

Split with Dallas. We are 5 back of the wild card. At 47-47 it's looking increasingly likely we will avoid yet another 100 loss season.

Now if we can step it up and get a 600 month in august and/or September, we can stay in this race.

Even if not, I'm proud of where this team is going. None of my hitters are playing above their talent. In the other end, we have Verba playing awful all year and Eckstein and Wilkinson getting over their rookie shakes.

We will be better next year.

My bad with the DFA- too many injuries right now for my squad.

An unexpected 4-game sweep over Philly helps us extend our lead over Batavia to 6.5 games. I'll take every game we can get before Batavia makes their late season run.

After being selected to his 7th All-Star game last week, Al picked up his 14th Player of the Week Award with another monster week.

Quietly, I think Ron Wessel has really been our team MVP. His leadership and efficiency in the infield has been amazing. Hitting at the top of the lineup has kept him happy and we are going to need him to continue his high level of play if we are going to stay ahead of the Muckducks and make a bid for home field advantage in the playoffs.

We are last in SLG and XB hits. We were last in HRs until this last week. Until we learn to hit we won't win the Porter.
