There was zero doubt in my mind that Washington would claim Cortes off waivers. That's just who they are. They don't just play to make their team better...they play to make other teams worse. It's a death of a thousand cuts.

4-3 sim puts us back to a game over.500.

4.5 back of the wild card. Wilkinson shined. Eckstein did not. Verba still looks like a shell of himself.

Melgoza looks like some time in AAA was all he needed. Hope he keeps this up.

I don't know how this season is going to end.

But so far, I'll remember it as the most fun season I've had in many years playing this game.

worst sim I've had yet with pitching. 2-5 and Windy City looks like they want to play.

My competitiveness has made me predictable.

            Ladd out; Cortes in.

Bats go 6-1 after I waive 10 or so players. Go figure.

Agreed. If he's still in it by mid July he makes some more moves.

Pawtucket 3-3 again. Looks like each month we've become a little bit better. Still not sure why we are struggling this bad with runs, but our bullpen has been pretty impressive considering it's all built from free agency and rule V picks.

                    Okay, cool observation.

My #1 starter leads the league in winning percentage.
My #3 starter leads the league in ERA.
My #4 starter leads the league in shutouts.
My #5 starter leads the league in strikeouts.

And for what it's worth, my #2 starter is fourth in winning percentage and tied for third in shutouts.

Just when I get Morris back Mast goes on the DL- I just want this whole offense to be on the field for once. I can also use some more starting pitching- what was once the biggest strength of this team is no longer present.
