We had a chance to put some nice separation between our Wild Card contenders. We went 2-5 instead.

4-2 week, including a sweep at New Orleans. Now sitting at 31-32. Seven games back of the division and eight back of the Wild Card.

Sonny Marshburn made his Bats debut after his one week rehab stint in Triple-A: 8/18, 3 doubles, 2 homers, 5 RBI, 8 Runs, 3 BB, 1.468 OPS! If you are interested, he's on my trade block. He's back on the Top Players List at #19.

Speaking of debuts, fresh of the FA wire, JR Neel pitched: 7 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 5 K. Not a dominant performance by any stretch but with how poor my rotation has been this year, he could be a godsend.

Did lose a starter to injury, OF Jerry Sanchez out four weeks.

You don't see that in a BLB game too often.

That was a really bad day for everyone.

I'm almost positive guys warming up had their ERA climb.

That DL wildcard race is shaping up to be pretty awesome.

Damn, need Jonathan Morris back ASAP. Pitching, as expected, isn't where it used to be.

This and the Porter race. Right now 5 of the 6 division races are sort of dead.

Washington might attempt to make a run at Death Valley, but DV has far superior talent. It will take major injuries or Pat deciding to swing a trade or two and throw his hat in the ring again.

The Pilsner is intriguing with Denver. Will Denver's young bucs mature in the second half, get past they're growing pains and overtake a very ancient team in Syracuse ?? Seen veteran teams get off to a hot start only to fade in the second half. Again, it will be interesting.

I hope we can hold off WAS. I think our pitching is solid, just need our bats to wake up a bit. I'd still like to move Wences to a playoff team in the DL.
