Adan Neubauer is the most fun fifth starter ever.
He's not good, but he strikes out an insane amount of batters. He has the best K/9 in the league.Maine Guides

After a 5-1 week, the Bats have jumped up to 2nd place in the Stout at 27-30. Now only three games under .500 and five games back. Arguably, the 5th best team in the IL.
The team is going to look a LOT different going forward:
Catcher: For now, I'm giving up on Dave "Champ" D'Orio. My scout always had his eye and avoid K low but this is getting out of hand. He has great contact, top notch power, my scout says he should be a really good hitter but it's just not happening. Maybe in my HR .960 park, it negates his one "skill." I gave up a lot to get the guy but if anyone is interested in taking a chance, maybe someone in a HR+ park, give me a call. In the meantime, I am going to platoon two defensive minded veterans. I'm giving the starts vs. RHP to Ryuzaburo Taniguchi. He's only hitting .609 and .628 vs. RH, but that's an improvement over Orio and he's a much better fielder. Against lefties, I signed long-time Mohawk, Tom Ulrich. Like Taniguchi, he's 36-years-old but an "8" on defense. Hopefully the tandem can hit around .650 (about the catcher BLB average) and play elite defense.
1B: Two sims ago I signed veteran Shannon Roberts. He will start against lefties, where my scout has him 7-5-6-5-6. Against righties, Sonny Marshburn will make his Bats debut. Part of the "DC3" trade to make the contracts work, Marshburn is out to show he still has a lot left in the tank.
3B: Tyler McLouth made his season debut from injury three sims ago. The injuries have appeared to hurt his defensive ability. His range is limited but he still has a gun. His bat seems unfazed as he is hitting .323 with a .881 OPS through 18 games.
SS: I called up Cy Gray (yes, that Cy Gray) from Triple-A last week. This week, I signed long-time Bat Shawn Nolan. The duo will platoon at SS and again, play great defense.
SP: I signed JR Neel for $800K. My scout says he is back-end at 5-6-5, 96 MPH velocity and 73% groundball. That's a lot better than some of the guys I've been throwing out there every five days.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
