  • 2008 Regular Season SIM 2 Complete - Next Sim Wed 9/3

    Next SIM: Wed 9/3

    - Files due by 8 am ET | 5 am PT, any later and you run the risk of missing the sim.
    - HTML and utility in a bit
    _____________________________

    - DFA:
    - Roster: Pit (26-AAA)
    ____________________________

Just remember those with Minor League contracts aren't really Minor League contracts if they don't have options remaining.

If someone is claimed that had a minor league contact with no options left AND you want them back, he will be put on your BLB roster and 40 man roster manually and then DFA'd before the sim (because you have 26 or more players). That should give him a minimum contact and the ability for any team to claim him as before. This time though the claiming team will either have to keep him in the BLB or waive him again. The team that originally claimed him will then have first shot (via forum post in Commish thread). If they don't make a claim then the player can be claimed by any team.

Please make sure though you have room in your 40 man initially for him to be placed there.

Pawtucket 3-3. Figured a bounce would occur. Still can't pitch worth dam, but the kids are trying.

Hitting well in the minors right now, but I swear every single pitcher down there has an ERA above 8. Feels a bit odd.

Speaking glitchy, where are the INTL players in the draft pool? It might be just me, but after 150players on the list it's all just pitchers.

WE STILL STINK. Added a few more pitchers to my "2 pitcher" trade block if anyone is interested.

5-1 week, top of the Stout entering Stout week. Starters and bullpen looking good. Hitters are making just enough happen to win ball games. I have a good feeling about this season.

Fernando Olivares is making the most of his opportunity in the rotation so far.

Surprised no one else is talking about this...

There are zero international players currently in the draft pool. Yes, there are internationally born players but they are from the college feeder leagues. In last years draft about half of the first round was international players...

Do they get added a sim or two before the draft? Did we miss something?

Tough week ahead. Lost Gutierez for the series against those world beaters in Denver. Naming a team after the last year they had a winning record must have pissed some players off. Shrewd.

New York is awake, Morris giving him the perfect contact hitting he needed to be a serious offensive threat. LA misses him.

The apparent deaths of WC and WAS are giving new life to some clubs in the IL. Despite the Matt trade gag order, I would start talking with them if you want them to stay dead...

Matt's right, you're a fool to trade with either of them. Any moves for prospects or even trades for vets jumpstarts them - letting them stay sleeping is the way to go. It's only week 2. It's overreacting this early to forecast doom.

When I parceled off players to Philly, not a single ONE of the kids I got in return panned out. There were 3 top prospect pitchers in that deal.

The only person(s) benefitting from another club not picking up these guys is someone who can't afford to trade or someone who doesn't have to.

Sorry Jimmy. You are no Pat or Jistic when it comes to wheeling and dealing personnel around here.

Nothing missed, the class autogenerates based on available feeder league classes. If there's not enough, I believe that's when INTL guys get created.
