Yeah, Fuji was always considered good.

Ed Betts was the surprise but there were guys that saw good ratings out of Betts including Linty.

Does anyone see good ratings out of Tanaka? I mean, he looks like a good player. But does anyone see "I have to give this guy $15 MM good?"

He's going to end up lowering his price and someone will jump on it.

Because yes he can run and he has defensive skills. My scout doesn't think he's that good of a player but it's weird to see the scouting report say he's an offensive threat and then follow that with pedestrian stats. Something is up.

Also, have we ever confirmed what scouting money rates these guys? Is it international budget or major league budget? I have $0 in international so if that's what's rating him, I am likely very wrong about him.

Don't put any money into international, I'm pretty certain.

My scout sees him like everyone else. He reminds me of Dan Hogan...for the vets that remember him.

Pretty sure Fujii was straight 8's across the board for me...

Betts I thought would be a .270 hitter but he turned out a lot better than I was expecting.

The one I missed on was Tony Perez. He turned out OK. I was expecting big things from him. I soured quick...

Tony Perez is the Denver saves leader. And on a team that couldn't win games.

Perez ended up being good. He didn't get there until his third season; however, and he's had a couple lousy seasons mixed in with the good ones.

I really like this years Rule V Draft Pool but I think 50% of my list will get protected. There are a few holes on my BLB club that I would love to be able to fill with a $280K Rule V draft pick or two.

In Free-Agency, I have three targets I really like...which I'm assuming a lot of the league is after as well. I haven't been a player in Free-Agency the last few years because of budget constraints but hopefully I still can make a splash.

                I'm cautiously optimistic.

Changed my mind. Threw an offer in at somebody. He's option 1 of 3, but preferable.

I'm a nice guy and don't want to steal anyone away...

Also, I barely have enough room to protect 40 of my own guys, I had to DFA some dudes just to make that work.

My payroll looks inflated, until I did some math and looked at some impending trades. We're in fine shape and will be a small player this season and next. I honestly don't think we need too much and we are already looking like a better team than this season on paper and in my mind.

The only guy on our 40-man over 30 and who is expected to be a key player is Dusty Simmons.

I have a feeling my Rule 5 list should've been bigger than two guys. haha

I'm being completely honest here...I think you win the division by 10+ games.

Honestly, unless it's a mistake in protection (or someone cheating) most rule 5 guys get returned. Some stick on really bad teams, just because there is truly no one better.

I hope you're right. I also hope Coma becomes what he should be and Adrian Pulido develops into his sidekick.
