Bats! Bats! Bats! Bats!

Washington sweeps in Carolina: 12-0, 7-0 and 10-5...then wins two extra inning games 6-5 at Batavia then lost the third game 2-7...but I somewhat conceded that game by benching my entire starting lineup and pitching a rookie in his BLB debut. Doing so, I allowed my top of the rotation to be ready for the Baltimore series and gave my regulars a day of rest during a stretch of 13 straight games. Hope I don't end up regretting that move...

Death Valley unfortunately went 6-0 this week increasing their Stout lead to four games. Luckily, Baltimore did the opposite, going 0-6, giving us the Wild Card lead by four games. The Utility says our playoff odds are now 95.5% and 10 of our final 13 games at home.

The three game matchup next week will be crucial to the Wild Card race. Both have the top of our rotations ready. Should be intense.

Since you conceded the game to us we're conceding all three to Baltimore. Time to see how a 41 year old, a guy who is hurt, and a AAA guy do against the Bulldogs.

3-3. This week was a preview of what I hope to see more of with Verba, McPherson, Perkins, McInturf and Rodrigues.

The pitching was okay but not really good. We need a bonafide ace. Maybe there's one in the draft for us or maybe we just go with best available and keep crossing our fingers on defense.

The offense will come. And Happy Trails to Adili for returning to the majors after a two year absence and hitting a home run.

5-1 week with Voodoo Davila winning Player of the week. We're 14-7 in September, but it's too little too late for us.

After the All-Star break the Washington Bats are 43-18. Since the injuries to Pat Ladd, Tyler McLouth and Antonio Cardenas, 11-2.

I think you should spend some money to make your stadium more neutral...it will help you find that offense you keep searching for.
