Whoa, we went 6-0 on the road. Back above .500!

What a homestand! With the season on the line every week going forward my team really dug deep this week to keep us in the Wild Card and Stout hunt!

Went 3-1 against DVS in which all four games went to extra innings! Won 6-5 in the 10th, Won 6-3 in the 12th, Won 4-3 in the 18th and then Lost 7-8 in the 11th. I'll take it. Then proceeded to sweep Los Alamos by a three game combined run differential of 17-1.

Of course...DVS then swept Davenport and Baltimore also went 6-1! Fuck!

Washington is now three games back in the Stout and one game back for the Wild Card. Gabrielle Clareno and Manny Reyes have responded to bigger roles and are both on fire! Rookie call-up SS Tommy Tipsword is now hitting .297 in 9 games replacing Antonio Cardenas.

Looks like I should have gone with SP Jimmy Whitworth earlier! In two starts after being sent to long relief the past month or so, he responded going 7 IP, 3 ER in a 6-3 W over DVS and 6 IP, 0 ER in a 5-0 W over LAM.

A much needed day off for the group before we hit the road. Three @ Carolina and Three @ Batavia. Hopefully we can continue this hot September. The Bats are 29-14 the past two months, there best months of the season.

This losing streak is rather unexpected. Ya gonna blame me on Toronto's losing streak also?
