3 games up in the division despite going 1-2 against WAS with another set coming. Just a 1/2 out of the wildcard chase too.

Robby English has finally flipped the sophomore switch.

Tommy Poe is available if someone wants to take a flyer on a cheap back of the rotation starter. He's a better SP than MR.

Philly highlights as we head into the dog days:
          • Goto wins PotW. It's been an Ok season for Goto, but slightly underwhelming. (it's concerning he's recently fallen off the Top Players list, but most offensive players that come to Philly do)
          • It's encouraging to see some of our young pitching entrench themselves. Jamie Crook (25) is a legit closer, Todd Martin (25) looks fairly good after a lengthy injury last season and John Ayala (24) seems to be bouncing back from his ST injury. Ayala always seems older than he is because he's been in the system forever (since 2001)
          • Rogelio Guadamuz seems legit. OPS+ of 142 despite time missed to injury (6 weeks). His performance makes me feel better about giving up our 1st next year
          • SS Andy Garcia appears to be the real deal at AA. He's put up a line of .286|.335|.453, leads the team in HR with 14 and is playing solid/good defense. Nothing shocking/outlandish in that performance, but we'll take that from a MIF prospect any time.
          • We're very pleased with this year's draft class. Having 4 first round picks certainly injected a youth movement and replenished our system.

We are .500 since May. I have no idea how we're still in this thing. The bullpen blows and the starting rotation has become weaker. I see big changes in the offseason.
