OF Jerry Sanchez up to #18 on the Top Players List!

Remember when Jistic couldn't give this guy away? Can't believe I started him in Triple-A at the beginning of the year...

6-1 and it does look like our offense has returned to form.

It came at a price though, as we pick up two key injuries. A 3-week injury to outfielder, Alex Gomez and 8 month injury to veteran starter, Sadaharu Katsura. I'm so proud of Katsura though. He's toughed through "coincidentally" losing his stuff to a edi...I mean devastating injury the same sim that I offered him a long term contract in 2004 (ijs). His career is likely over at this point, but you never know since he's surprised me after the first injury. He's had a very solid career for us nonetheless.

Gomez has been amazing for us over the years as well, and tends to have an injury like this once a season, so I'm not too concerned. He'll be replaced by former Bulldog star, Angelo Barrios who has been playing well in AAA and is very excited to back at the BLB level, even if it is a just temporary stint.

Baltimore Bulldogs - BLB since '84
      - Porter Champs: '92, '93, '97, '98, '01, '03, '06, '08, '12

He wasn't edited....pretty sure his stuff was lost to that torn labrum he suffered three-days prior to signing the extension.

That's what I said, his injury rating was edited in 2004. He just hit the Top Players List that year, only 26 and was dominant in 2003. I exported a 4 year contract and imported a broken player.

I know everything wasn't his fault but it's easier to believe that's why we sucked in 2004.

That was Brad's sim. Baltimore just stated that Philly edited their player. Remember that Brad in the upcoming sim.

Really excited to see how this team responds... One legend out another in.

Updated the SIM time slightly. No guarantee I'll start a little earlier than usual, but want the flexibility in case I can due to the run of trades that need to be processed tomorrow morning.

Revisionist history. Like most Americans, I'd like to blame all of my problems on someone else even when they aren't here anymore.

I thought he was gone in 2004, mainly because I thought we won a chip in 2003. Obviously, it couldn't have been THAT long since we won. The joys of getting older or its probably just plain f'n overconfident.

You did say you were having a "sale."

It was a sale. But I also said how good he can be. Even in the announcement thread you noted that you don't think he'll be as good as I said he would. I'm not surprised at all. Loved him in the draft, just had no room for him.
