Seven games back of the wild card. Doable.

Taylor Clarkson came in and OPSed .820 while playing great defense at third base his first week in Maine. Happy to have him.

Hoping the Lebron/Ashley platoon at second base can be decent. We have four platoons now. It's not ideal. Hoping to change this arrangement for next year.

Pawtucket 10th in the latest power poll. You've all been warned. Also, think we may have a really good pitcher now. Scout has him as a 5-6-6, but he's been unreal this season.

Still hanging around. Big 2 game set vs WAS to start Stout week. Colin Cash hit the ground running and TJ DiMaggio is back. First time we've had our projected 2007 starting line-up all at once this season is this week.

Robby English is having quite the sophomore slump. We really need him to turn it around - same with Wences. Brendan Lindsey is killing it though.

My pitching prospects continue to climb. Pulido, Ochoa, Kline and Angulo are all in the Top 30.

Dave Bryan hit .346/.425/.495 in AA and just got his first taste of AAA and hit .400. He's going to be a special top of the line-up type hitter. Scout is showing bumps in Contact and Eye. If he can get on base at the BLB, he'll be a great table-setter with his speed. We could see him as early as next year in an OF of Cash/Reynolds/DiMaggio and Roark (who's played well as a rookie). Him and Pulido are two of the most exciting prospects I've had in a long time not named Coma.

Some interesting options on the Waiver Wire this week too. Definitely will prob throw a claim or two out there and see if we can snag someone.

                Was getting desperate...

There are a number of Washington players on the wire. I expect a few to be claimed.

Not looking good for New Orleans, now 6 1/2 back in the division race and further back in the wildcard.

If anyone is interested in a perfectly good Johnathan Morris or some other players, check the New Orleans trade block. Wouldn't mind making room for a couple younger guys and getting them some time in the majors this year.

3-3 this week. Take 2 of 3 from Los Alamos but lose 2 of 3 to Windy City. We get 13 hits in one of those losses and Schuh gives up 2 hits and 2 runs and loses 2 to 1. In the words of Dean Wormer from Animal House, "I hate those guys".

Blah, another mediocre sim. On a related note, Abraham Santana has been absolutely bananas this year. He's realizing his full potential finally. Him and Terry Mast are a deadly duo but its too bad the albatrosses at several other positions are weighing us down. By Pythagorean record this division should be a dead heat but LA is getting some good breaks.
