Another 3-3 sim. We're 26-29, 4 GB of a selling (yeah sure) WAS.

    The cavalry is coming though...

Our MVP Colin Cash is back, headed to Reno for a rehab stint.

Wessin Ramirez returns to give us a nice boost. He had 4 homers and was batting .300 and OBPing .400 prior to getting dinged up.

Dave Santoyo comes back next week.

TJ DiMaggio hits .286 for the week and gives us another .300 hitter in the line-up.

If English and Wences pull out of their early season funk, there's no reason we can't make a move up the standings by Aug. 1. If not, the waiver wire will be crawling with Scorpions.

Raulo Guitierrez told me he would sign for a minor league contract, so I offered him that. He then emailed me to tell me he should just retire...but will keep playing if he gets a major league contract...and then signs with Batavia for a minor league deal.

      Fuck you Raulo.

He really wants to pitch against Maine this week. We might make it happen.

And Pat enough good stuff happens to you in this game that someone else can get a break every now and then!

I figured a lot of teams noticed his demand has dropped. I had actually been watching his price the past few weeks almost threw $2M at him the SIM prior. When I saw he only wanted a minor league deal, I figured he wouldn't sign with me because of him joining the losing team in the Brewmaster's plus our struggle this season.

Hope I don't end up seeing him in the playoffs...again.

Got swept by Carolina plus an extra loss to Davenport puts us an ugly, 6 back of Batavia and just 1.5 games ahead of Davenport for the Wildcard.

We had a complete power outage at the plate from our young run producers, but (sh) it happens, I guess.

Arguably our best sim of the season...

Swept Morgantown by a combined 20-0 in runs over three games. Went 2-1 @ Death Valley, the one loss of course being by one run and in extras...

FINALLY! SP Terry Bornemann pitched a good game. After six very poor starts, he threw a gem vs. Morgantown, 7 IP, 7 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 8 K. Sure, the Mohawks didn't score a run the whole series but hopefully that helps the kids confidence.

1B/LF Jerry Sanchez is showing why he was so pissed I started him in Triple-A while figuring out my 25 man in April. In 35 games with Washington, the 26-year-old is hitting .371 with a .990 OPS. I doubt it continues but he has been a very pleasant surprise after coming over in a trade with Windy City.

Claimed former DVS/CLE/HAR/BAL catcher Venezuelan Dioguo Canudo. He never really developed into the player everyone thought...but he's an upgrade over my backup catcher.

I threw $1.5m after him several weeks ago and he said no. Then I see he wants a minor league deal a month later and figured if take a shot.

Another 3-3 sim, which seems to be our M.O. We're really struggling to hit lately.

Just slightly behind the once again division leading Dinos.

Going to give Eddie Alanis a shot at being a starting pitcher and see how he does and give Pat Forester another week of hitting at #2 instead of Tyler Sawtelle. Forester is leading the league in triples and is a speedster so I'm going to give him a look there.

Might put R.J. Curtis on waivers and hope I don't take any injuries at SP so I can sign people to extensions.

I offered Raulo a minor league deal for weeks. He told me he wasn't interested.

But I didn't offer a new one this past sim. Go figure.

                      A 2-4 week.

The highlight is watching Tamieke pitch to another victory. He now has a league-leading 10.

Melgoza was much more solid as our number 2 this week. Need more balance from the rest of the guys.

Award winners were picked for the feeder leagues.

Think this guy might turn out okay.

Watch as Funclown puts an even less acceptable BLB team on the field.

We offered Raulo a minor league deal this past sim too but evidently he wanted a better shot at another ring.
