We're 23-26. 4 starters (of our top 6) have been out most of the season and have managed to stay 2 GB of WAS. We get DiMaggio back this week, Wessin Ramirez back next week, Santoyo the week after, and the 1st week of July Cash will be done with his rehab assignment. Then we can make our run at the division. Other than Travis Jimenez and rookie Tyler Roark, no one has played especially well. If we wake up, we could turn this thing around.

Tom Gentner returns to the starting rotation for the first time in 2 years and gets a 4-3 win vs BAL, giving up just 3 ER in 8.0.

We get 3 at home vs SEA and 3 at home vs WAS. All things considered, I'm OK with where we are at and expect us to start playing better baseball in the next month.

Windy City and Carolina play a nice 20 inning game.

I'll take a 4-2 week against some DL powers.

Reminder that Travis Fisher is very available. Career high in strikeout rate so far this year. Send an inquiry. I will respond to everyone.

            That was awful.

Now we lost Robles for a week and JJ for 3. They are our only offense. Batavia's gonna wipe the floor with us. Time to circle the wagons!

Was nice to with pitcher of the month (Herberholz) and hitter of the month (Caplan) but that's about it.

I can get no feel for this team this year. We've been getting lucky but eventually that's gonna run out. I'm feeling a 1 or 2 win sim coming.

Back to winning ways as we go 5-1 against the best in the Stout and in show of good will, we even left a broom in D.C. for the Bats to use at their convenience.

Trash talking aside, we are still 1.5 games out of first in the Porter and can't seem to catch those pesky Muckducks.

PSA to all struggling teams: CHECK THE WAIVER WIRE EVERY SIM IF POSSIBLE!

I put Jimmy Whitworth on the wire, who is no world beater but still, definitely a great guy to have in your rotation. The only two teams that claimed him were Washington and Batavia and neither of those two teams "need" to have this guy on their squads. These are the kinds of guys that can help your team.

Even if you get the guy and just stuff him in AAA, you'll have a backup for injuries. Don't let Matt and Pat continue to dominate by getting these fringe guys that can help you out.

Split vs our divisional opponent NY Knights and had a big sweep of the Dinos, who had leapfrogged us for first place.

Nah. Just had no interest in him. Besides, I wouldn't have won the claim anyway.

3-4 against the tops of the DL. Can't get mad at that.

Tamieke missed a chance to be the league's first 10-game winner. He's 9-2 with a tiny ERA and WHIP. Won May's POTM in the DL.

We aren't complete but nice to see Villalobos fight for a spot. It's like he sees Perkins and Rodrigues breathing down his neck.

Four 1-run losses this week to go 2-5.

                    It's just not my year.

Bad - You name it. All. Have lost 3 pieces of our IF for significant time.

Good - Cracker Rosales appears ready to stay and play at firstbase. The former 1.5 pick is 2nd in the BLB in doubles Pretty sure the HR numbers will follow in a season or two. Nice 1-2 punch with him and Oto for a long time.

Brown (last seasons 1.1) seems like the real deal. All 5 starters in Myrtle Beach (AA) have a shot to make it to the BLB someday. Especially with the crap arms ahead of them.

Finally a winning sim. I think we went 3-3 for 4 sims in a row. Nice to go 2-1 against both Windy City and Los Alamos to help in the standings.

A down year, but we can reload pretty quickly.

If Jerry Brown doesn't accrue enough plate appearances for his option to vest--and given that he's 3 for 31 against southpaws, he probably won't--that's $24 million off our projected payroll.

Declining Tristan Romarigues's team option and re-signing him to a $1.2 million deal frees up another $4.8 million.

Brendon Lawyer and Oscar Torres won't return.

We might have up to $35 million to play around with this offseason. Look out.

I got excited about my potential Free-Agent money for the off-season as well...and then I remembered that my current scouting and player development budget is a combined $4M. Might have to let a few players walk just so I can bump those two.
