Nice 5-1 sim with a sweep of Cali and taking 2/3 from Cleveland. Hopefully this team is starting to wake up- still have a black hole at a couple of positions that were filled by Gus Brown and Al Hamilton.

That's more like it. Our surprising April was a fluke and we are back where we belong in the cellar of the Lager.

Stolarik, Ferreira, and Villarreal all available!

Another 3-3. We'll take it. Lose a series. Win a series. We're floating, hanging around. Never know in the Pilsner where dreams come true and then you lose in the playoffs.

We're hanging around just above .500 which is probably about as good as we are, but that might be good enough to win our division.

Johnathon Morris in a bit of a slump has been hurting us and our hitting was poor this sim, but pitching has bailed us out a little. Alex Martinez pitched 10 innings of shutout ball in an 11 inning victory for us.

When I asked manager for pitching staff it wanted to make Alex Martinez the closer. Pshaw, get out of here, manager!

The injuries we suffered over the last several years have taken their toll on the team's hitting.

Danny Lebron made the All-Star Game as a rookie, but he now looks to be just about done at age 28 after a series of nagging, mostly lower body injuries.

Jerry Brown is 2 for 27 against left-handers this year and now looks like a strictly platoon player, which is why we built that vesting option into his contract.

Enrique Zurita is feeling the sophomore slump.

Jerrod Dapson's batting average has plunged each of the last four years, even though he's just 28 years old like Lebron, following recurring upper body injuries.

I've rested guys as much as possible to prolong their careers over the last five years, but we may have reached the end of the line for this core despite their relative youth.

I'm glad we were able to win a title when we had the chance. I love this group.

Add Dave Santoyo to the injured list. Wessin Ramirez gets a month setback. We're under .500. Not our year this year already. My team is broken and makes me sad.

                3-3...again.

If I was in any other division we would be selling, hard. Luckily the Stout is now the weakest in the IL. How the mighty have fallen...

Pat Ladd got hurt but also moved to #2 on the Top Players list. Only day-to-day but for a superstar he gets pretty nicked up.

Rookie Zachary Lewis is here to stay. The flamethrower struck out 14 in 7.2 this week. We haven't had a pitcher with that capability since Derrek Tucker. I should have had him up earlier.

We continue to stay the course and hope as the season goes on we can string better consecutive games together. Need to make some tweaks.

Pawtucket got spanked. That is all for the big leagues.

Minors: our top 4 is really on a roll right now.

                  AAA

C- Todd Robideau SLG .504 OPS getting close to .900

                  2B- Tony Infante AVE .321

Both are coming up after the June draft. Intl 22 year olds, but they polished and ready to go. They got to take they're rookie bumps and bruises someday.

                  AA

LF- Tommy Van Leer. Climbing near the top 10, moving him up a level was the right thing to do batting .378 and actually drawing walks. Still needs to work on his D and power.

1B- Antonio Banuelos. The light has turned on batting .322 in his first full season in AA. Kid was sort of had disappointing first couple of season, but he was all 2's for ratings so just need to be patient. I'm not a big fan of contact 1B, but 20 years old so hoping he adds some pop as he gets older...or else!

Good things happening down on the farm with more kids and the way.

5-2 and the train just keeps on rolling.

Now nearly 2 months in the books, we are still hitting .295 on the season AS A TEAM. Like most teams we hit much better at home (.328) but we still hit .272 away from Phillips Field, which would still be best in the BLB. BLB Champion, Ling-Lai Pang is having his best statistical season since 2004 and as such, won Player of the Week.

Because of the 7-game schedule this past week, I gave reliever, Danny Ybarra, a chance to start. I've done this maybe 3-4 times in his career so far, and he seems to never disappoint. This time, he racked up his first complete game shutout as a big league starter. I'm hesitant to move him permanently to the starter role because he only throws two pitches, but its nice to know I have a guy who can come in anD spot start if needed.

We also got a standout performance from second year man, Edwin Uribe. Uribe nearly pitched our 4th complete game in a 3-0 win over division rivals, Cali. Uribe pitched 8 2/3 innings with 12 K, just 1 BB, and obviously, 0 ER. That gives us a league-high seven shutouts.

All of this and we are still second in the division AND in the Power Rankings. That lets you know how good Batavia is this year.

Wow, Ian Fink is killing in Carolina. That's scary that he's that good while they are still terrible.

That 2005 class had McPherson, Zack Reeves, Ian Fink and Dave Lippert.

Making me wonder if I should have gone pitcher or not even bother trading up.

Incredible class. We don't see many like that too often.

Not sure what is going on I didn't check the tracker last 2 sims but I did export the file. Guess I better check it all the way from now on. It also appears BJ Hinkle may be done for good. He was out for 4 mos when I drafted him. Now he is out for 8 months
