Good sim for New Orleans with only one loss. Pitching seems to be our strength and we have two starters with complete game shutouts (one of which was a no-hitter), the only two in the league so far.

We start off the next sim with a series against divisional opponent Toronto, who only have one less win than we do.

When will the draft start? Kind of know who I'm picking at the 1 spot. Pick 13 is proving more difficult.

Our Intl SP Enrigue seems legit. Love to see him as our 3 down the road if we can get him some help down the road.

C Todd R and 2B Tony I have been doing well in AAA. Thinking June draft they should join the big league club.

Jesus, 'Barbed Wire' 30 innings without a run allowed. Pretty impressive.

5-1 sim; 3-0 vs. Seattle, 2-1 vs. Death Valley

With the strong week the Bats are now first place in the Stout with a 1.5 game lead over the Scorpions. This Washington team is just 9th in the IL in runs scored but first in runs allowed. The batters are doing a lot right, including 2nd in steals, 3rd in strikeouts, 1st in walks, 5th in on base, but we just can't get the bat on the ball. The rotation is leading the way for the pitching and the trio of Closer Armando Ureste and the set-up duo of Dusty Casserino and David Saucedo are a combined 2-0, 6 saves, with just 3 earned runs in 33 innings.

The surprise of the season is veteran 2B Cy Gray. He leads the BLB in defensive efficiency at 2B and is currently hitting .285 with a .785 OPS through 16 games. Now I don't expect that to continue from the career .236/.647 hitter but I'm loving it through the first three weeks of the season. There are other options on the roster and in Triple-A to fill in at second if his hot streak were to fall off but he has earned the starts thus far.

The disappointment of the season thus far is 28-year-old Starting Pitcher Terry Borneman. Last year in is second season as a pro he went 12-10, 2.93 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and my scout thinks he is a good #3 option. In Spring Training he got roughed up for a 6.60 ERA and 1.53 WHIP which has carried into the season with a 0-3 7.16 ERA and 1.47 WHIP. The former first round pick is a hard worker so I expected him to bounce back soon but if he continues to falter he might find himself in long-relief.

haha man I'm glad you mentioned that, I didn't know we had interleague play and I haven't even looked at my non-DH lineups!

Not sure it's possible, but Trujillo sneaks up on you as far as career achievements. Solid, outstanding player for a long time. Still appears to have some gas left in the tank, too.

We're .500 which is to be expected. DiMaggio is hurt again. I need another OF. If you have one that is cheap (or you'll pay for) message me.

We're going to be .500 until Colin Cash comes back and shakes off his rust.

15-5 so far, Scherer is raking in the absence of Davis, haven't missed a beat. Losing to Pawtucket is inexcusable though...
