Sorry about the DFAs. Thought for sure I released them.

Welcome back, J.R., the only off-season personnel change for NO. I hope your Tommy John surgery went well!

Prez, what's the story on SP Dave Ayers? Lefty starter that broke out in 2005 winning 14 games for Baltimore and a 3.67 ERA - 1.24 WHIP.

Subsequently trashed to AAA in 2006 where his confidence diminished and got lit up in only 75 innings. Released to free agency.

I signed him now for 550K 1 year deal and will give him a chance to continue his BLB career in our starting rotation.

This deserves to be in the one man's trash thread.

Reports from the locker room stated he was a selfish bastard.

Well that and he gave up 22 home runs, which was a point of emphasis (to reduce) for us in 2006. In the right park and with the right teammates to keep his ego in check, I think he could repeat that performance.

Wow, think by seasons end we could have half the league with a 100 million+ payroll (HTML version which adds in personnel I think) Looking at the teams though only one team on the verge of a Armageddon, the rest look pretty good.

                The league is healthy!!!!!

Syracuse is going to collapse in on itself. Didn't see that. Need a bailout from the rebuilding crews.

Cleveland's payroll is a little out of control right now but I'm hoping the increased fan interest, more wins and hopefully playoff revenue will make up the shortage. Manhos is likely going to end up being a one year rental but we should be able to re-sign Watts.

My payroll is low, my staff $ is high. Hopefully I can raise the ticket price (currently at $14) and earn some more revenue.

Usually can get them up to $15.00 when the going is good. Somewhere around $15.00-$15.50.....those fans react.

I saw that even with fan interest at 100.

Most I ever did was $16.00 during the Brewmaster finals.

I usually hover from $12-$15...I'm more interested in sell out crowds then making money.
