damn, the rotation of Fink, Wolochow, Moon, and Gregg has me a bit excited for the future. The rest of the team is still shit and waiting for the youngins.

I know New York has homefield advantage, but I feel pretty confident we can and will take this series.

-- First off, we got a little lucky. Yes, I did my best to rest my guys, but still, I'm lucky to have almost everyone healthy. Meanwhile, Artie Clemons will miss the series for New York and Al Hamilton will miss at least the first few games.

-- Particularly with Hamilton out, New York's lineup has strong platoon splits and is very vulnerable to right-handed pitching. Their regular season record reflects it too: .692 winning percentage against lefties, .549 versus righties. Well, our rotation is not only excellent, but composed exclusively of right-handers!

-- New York has some solid starting pitchers--though I feel ours are quite a bit better--but they have strong platoon splits too. And we have the hitting personnel to use platoons to our advantage in this series. We'll have the platoon advantage in seven of the nine lineup slots to start every game.

So I feel confident about what we'll do in this first round.

I don't have game access but why is Tyler McLouth not on post season roster?

Some really depressing numbers to round out the season:

-Rookie IF Wayne Adams led the team with 66 RBI (nice season for him, don't get me wrong: 41 2B | 8 3B | 9 HR is solid production for a guy who looked like he had stalled out development wise)

-SP Pat Simmons closed out the year losing his last 10 decisions (at one point he was 11-4, finished 11-14)

                  - Raul Soto is owed $13.7mil next season

Is he post season roster eligible even if he's not on the roster currently?

I seem to recall needing to adjust your roster last season in the playoffs when you were out of town. If you have more than 25 guys playoff eligible, the game sits some players to get to 25 man roster. As long as they qualify as playoff eligible you can swap someone out for him prior to the series starting. I think. Maybe.

I had the same thing with Nari Garin, Marlon Huffman, and CJ Mitsch. It seemed like because I had over 25 guys on my active roster who were playoff eligible, they were the odd men out.

They were still listed as eligible, just not on the default populated roster.

This was a rough season for us. Very proud how we closed strong to take our 4th straight division title. It was not easy.

Reynaldo "Stinger" Jimenez came one save away from tying the single season saves record. CF Jamie Frantz fell one 3B shy of tying the single season record as well.

We had several players though under perform. And now the real problem is injury. Half of our starting rotation will miss the playoffs due to injury. And the big blow, the best hitter in the league for the second year in a row gets injured at the end of the season and this time will miss the entire playoffs.

I'm proud of winning the division again but I just don't see us being able to make any noise in the playoffs without all of our bullets in the chamber.

I'll get my export in as soon as I can understand why Rogelo Guadamuz isn't on the playoff roster because he should be eligible.

Players are eligible if they're on the active roster or disabled list on August 31st.

Guadamuz has been in AAA since August 14th.

I don't think he should be eligible.

However, if you put Caplan on the DL, you'll be able to place Guadamuz on your playoff roster in Caplan's spot.
