  • 2006 Regular Season 20 SIM Complete - Next SIM Wed 05/14

    Next SIM: Wed 05/14

    - Files due by 8 am ET | 5 am PT, any later and you run the risk of missing the sim.
    - HTML and utility in a bit

    Roster: none
    DFA: Syracyse, Batavia, Baltimore, LAD

Everyone who uploaded worked except Syracuse. I check now after the mishap a few sims back. Just gave Jake the extra time since releasing his player would have cost him $12m. Ended up moving a player to AAA, moving his guy to BLB, DFA'ing the guy again, and moving his AAA guy back to the BLB and putting him back in the lineups.

This season is looking like a lost cause. I hung on until now, but I don't think it is going to work in our favor. We can't seem to get it under 2 and those .500 sims are back. Many of my guys have cleared waivers and I know they will help a playoff contender. I will listen on everyone who has cleared waivers for picks and prospects.

I can't remember the last time we looked this locked in to our slot a month out.

I'm doing what I can to keep guys healthy--which has been really fucking hard this season--without fucking things up.

When you're as bad as us, it's the little things. Love what we're seeing out of John Ayala. Last SIM he threw his first career CG shutout and then followed that up with a 10 IP | 1 ER performance that eventually led to a 2-1 victory over IND in a 24 inning marathon. His last three starts: 8 IP | 0 ER; 9 IP | 0 ER; 10 IP | 1 ER. Pretty heady stuff for a 23 year old in his first swim through the BLB. He still walks too many people, but he's the most successful trash/treasure entry we've had in some time.

Firmly in the 2 spot. Time to watch the rest of the picks. Also, Denver can't be that bad forever can they?

Think it's time for 3B Taylor Clarkson to join the BLB team in September. The other two prospects need to wait.

Team has been playing consistent ball. 4-2 this week, winning both series.

Tough test this week against BLB best Pittsburgh.

5-1 this week. Pitching was pretty good this week as in 4 of those wins they only allowed one run. Gained a game on Windy City so only one behind them and got some breathing space in the wild card race increasing that lead to 4.5 games.

A team won the championship beating a much better team.

So the AA team lost in the first round to a lesser team that eventually won the championship.

                      Can't have them all.

We can't sweep Denver? We don't deserve a playoff spot.
