We are looking good. DiMaggio injury hurts, but Marlin should be fine and Alex Pereda is ready for his cup of coffee.

Perkins went from .391 to .397 this past week in AAA before suffering a shoulder injury. Great.

Got roughed up by Syracuse and Indy this sim, 2-4 week. Good news is that Alejandro Astimbay is back from a long injury so the offense should get a nice jolt. Also nice to see Jamie Ohmer win his first big league start- he's so atypical to the type of starter I usually have but I'm enjoying it!

Batavia refuses to run away with the division, so if we can just keep it close until the end, we've got a chance.

We go 4-2 for the week as we unexpectedly win a series against Davenport. 22 year old rookie goes the distance for a 6 hit shutout. I think this kid has the potential to be a lot better than advertised (ratings wise), much like pre-injury Katsura.

As of this week we have the IL's best bullpen and it shows as we are 5-1 in extra innings and a respectable 21-17 in 1-run games. Next week we have to show up against Cali and Philly on the road if we want to win the Porter.

You can have the division...we are horrible.

Earley and now Burton are done. Call ups Bertin (0-7) and Goldberg (7+ ERA) suck. Hardwick can't hit. It's been a crap year.

See Balimore circa 2002. Makes Washington 3 peat that much more impressive.

Hey look at it on the bright side. Your crap is still better than our best.

Funny last season all the races were in the DL. This year......

Pawtucket moves to 2 in the draft. Look out Denver.

A 4-2 week and we still lose ground in the division and the wild card race. Lost 2 out of 3 to Baltimore but then swept Philadelphia but it took two 4-3 ten inning games to do it. Nelson is healthy again so that should help the offense. Big 5 game home stand coming up with 3 games against Los Alamos and two with Windy City. Last year's #1 pick Pearsall has moved up to the #2 prospect and is 12-4 in AA ball. Once that control number starts improving I think he'll move up quickly.
