Anyone else get the pre-order release today? I've got mine downloaded and took a quick peek and it sure looks different. Going to take some getting used to.

Yeah I plan on buying this sooner then later.

We usually go 7-8 seasons between versions so I need to learn something about this while I rebuild.

I've got another league that will switch over in a month or two so I went ahead and grabbed it early.

Downloaded as well. A league I'm in is switching quickly. We are in the offseason so it's go time.

I'll hopefully check it out today or Sunday.

Let us know the "new" features. I wouldn't upgrade until BLB does. You're my only baseball league now.

Me too. Can't imagine having another league, it would feel like cheating on BLB.

I've tried twice. Once was a "merc" league and had a lot of fun flipping players.
Second was hidden ACTUALS , only POT shown. Great concept but I struggled with league interface so had to bail. Lol, I'm not tech savvy. Loved the rating thing though. Talk about stat driven. Really hard to tell if that 23 year old with a POT of 8-7-7 was really ready or that 36 year old had fallen off the cliff.

I'm in a potential only league but we also have stars so that helps a ton.

And as in years past, OOTP 15 offers a lengthy list of other new features, including:

Enhanced player history tracking (yearly salary, 2nd & 3rd place award finishes, grand slams, walk-off hits, 1- hitters, and other game performances)

Non-roster invitees to spring training, along with a customizable spring training length (1-6 weeks) and roster size.

Playoff-matchups editor enables you to set up the playoffs exactly as you want them

                        Better support for independent leagues

The ability to offer jobs to coaches and scouts while those jobs are still occupied

                        Reworked team control options

                        Teams may retire uniform numbers

Improved news stories and in-game play-by-play

                        Improved AI throughout the game

                        Faster simulation speed

Improved first-year player draft and negotiation

An "Acquired" field in the player profile that displays the last trade involving that player, if applicable; click it to view the transaction

                            Very much needed.

I love the better support for independent leagues.

I won't rest until we have one of those here. I will NOT rest!

And I'm going to specifically create a universe as an Independent League GM that runs concurrently with the real world (MLB and the other several real life leagues) to see how it works.

Who doesn't want a Microbrew League where old vets and undrafted hopefuls can continue their careers for one last 90 foot walk to first base or to develop skills they need to succeed in A ball?
